4-5 days /played. Got heirlooms for every class keep that in mind, including the guild perk. And it really comes down to the class.
If you leave the bot on 24/7 the time to 85 will be infinite. I'm estimating about 2.5 days played before you're banned.
questing with kicks profile on a fury warrior atm, at 23 hours /played for level 43, no heirlooms/raf xp, do have guild bonus though, and i had some stupid CC issue that wasted about 4 hours doing nothing but white damage and dying a lot...so yeah i'd say about 8-10 days /played with 0 heirlooms would be right.
I have not been active on the forums, but after I seen this post I had to comment. Please don't listen to this, stupid post, I'm sorry but it's true. If this was the case I would have been banned many times. Don't go round spreading roomers that are UNTRUE. Now @ OP: If using heirlooms you can hit 85 in about 5 or 6 days /played. As others have said depends on the class, but say a Pally or Druid, Priest could hit 5 days /played. Also 24/7 will cause bans to happen more often. But it all depends on reports, I believe. I mean there are people who can and will play many days in a row without a break, such as people highly addicted to the game and people with conic illnesses ect and I'm sure there would be many others to. If blizzard see a account logged in for 48 hours with out a break and they get reported for botting well they would take a much more detailed look into that account compard to somebody account who has been logged in 30mins and sombody reports them for botting ect. My advice bot for 12-14 hours per day and it will take around 4 weeks to get to level 85 and level your proffs to max and make around 10k gold. All of this is my opinion, I have no idea how blizzard works. But using common sense and doing a fair bit of research on bans this is what I have come up with and my "main" has NEVER been banned. EDIT: Use Kickazz profiles, those are the best for alliance leveling that I have found, as for horde I am not sure. But if your going to use HB I would highly suggest rolling Ally as the profiles are much better then horde!
Nope, as has been stated innumerable times: reporting doesn't do anything. Numbers do it all though. If blizzard sees someone actively questing continuously for 60+ hours they will simply ban them due to the numbers not adding up. No human will be able to do something like that (as has been proven countless times by people in the far east attempting to do this and dying at their computer). So first you say that I'm spreading untrue rumors and then you give basically the same advice? I do concur with this statement: 12-14 hours per day, about 4 weeks. Don't do 24/7 on the same toon. It's way better to switch toons and level 2 of them, both for about 12-14 hours per day. They can be on the same account. Also: Use Kick's profiles. Don't even think about rolling horde, just cruise through on Kick's alliance profiles. If you don't have heirlooms/guild perks, you might want to do some Archeology or PVP from 78-80. The rest works like a charm.
About being banned for non-stop play, isn't it possible to be taking turns with ones bothers or sisters? How would Blizz know?
sure, but you're not meant to share an account with siblings so if that's your defense they'll just suspend you for account sharing instead? ;p
Well my character is 84 atm, 6 days /played over 9 days, he has full heirlooms and guild bonus. It would b faster if I didn't leave my arch bot afk and come back 8 hours later to find it stuck in a tree lol. My next char will be alot faster as this was my first and now im use to it.
blizzard doesnt check time played cause if they did i would have every toon banned after having my bots running for a minimum of 20hours a day everyday.
I leveled a goblin rogue in 5 days played. I did the starting zone quest by hand which included afk'ing for hours at a time. I botted from the time I left the starter zone to 85, not doing a single quest by hand again. I alternated between questing, Instance Buddy, and archaeology. I had all the heirlooms except the ring and the guild perk.
It took me 2 days 15 h /played to get to 60 on an ally pally with kicks and nuoks profiles. a switch them sometimes because i dont have the guild stuff and they get stuck for unavailable quests. I think when botting with quests its simply a good advise to act "as normal" - think about it: how long could you do quests before getting bored? 5h? 7h? after that I tend to do professions or whatsoever for some hours before logg off for atleast 6h which is minimum time required for a human to sleep. I try to do the questing part overnight to avoid having too many poeple around. that works quite well, I am mostly alone - this makes it less dangerous the get stuck or so..
