new solutions: My new solution now is that all my bots will drop items to guildbank under different vpn1. Because it appears that they never ever detect me for botting, until they investigate for some other reason, then they realize ohh look he bots 24/7 ok we'll ban him for botting even though he was not under suspision before. My auction house toon, will withdraw items 24/7 from guildbank under different vpn2 and deposit gold to guild bank. My vanilla gold seller under vpn3, will sell gold and ninja the guild. Now if my bots get banned for the above technique, then we are all screwed! and they are MAC address banning. And i'm ditching wow and moving to RIFT, cause if you cant beat them with vpn then its over, ohh im using pptp vpn.
I refuse to lose, i can outsmart these guys somehow. They would have never investigated my accounts had they not got lucky with some other random investigation. They never suspected my bots of botting originally, they came up with that after. The admin who investigate my second account probably just said 'screw this guy ill respond with botting' even though i got no proof except that his toon plays wow 24/7. I even replied to them that im a fat tub of lard virgin who plays wow and has no life and no friends, but they didn't bite and i probably offended the GameMaster who probably is a fat tub, anyhow he replied with 'on second review your account is permanently closed with no appeal possible'. i'm madbro
Well, I guess your guild bank got flagged for "gold trade". Some transaction, like large amount of raw material might give you a ban. I was in same situation like you except each of my account got his own IP. So I get rid of Guild bank all together for material. My solution is: Sell material on lvl2 alt on the same account, transfer only the gold to vanilla. It's only speculation of my own. Who really know how ban hammer work.
IMO, never use just one guild bank. GBs are easy to make and cost next to nothing if you don’t buy tabs. When you sell gold, put gold into a disposable GB and make sure you do this a day or two before you make the actual sale. If you don’t know the actual amount you are selling, then put in more than you expect to sell and take out the difference before you make the sale. Invite your buyer to the guild and make them the GM. Then leave the guild and delete your character. Tell your buyer to leave the gold in the GB for at least a day to be safe as fast deposit and withdrawal on gold into and out of a bank can get you flagged. Also, tell them to leave their toon in the guild for a few days and then feel free to either chuck the guild or try to sell it if they like but they should not just withdrawal the gold and then up and leave within minutes of taking over the guild. Stress hat this is for their protection and yours. Now, they buyer may not follow these instructions or only partially follow them. This is why I suggest you make sure the gold is in the guild bank for a day or two before hand as a bit of extra protection for yourself. Also, never talk to your potential buyer in the game. Do it through an IM program or even via a vent account if you have one going spare. Make sure the buyer knows beforehand that you do not want them to even speak to you in game. No thank yous, no hurry ups, no here is your order, nothing, you want silence. NEVER TRADE GOLD VIA AN OPEN TRADE. It just stands out like a big red warning light when a level 1 trades a lot of gold to someone they do not normally associate with, regardless of the buyer toon's level. Large amounts transfered between lvl 85s is not bad, especially if you are in the same guild, chat alot and raid/dungeon alot and this can be tracked by an energetic GM. With selling gold, GB trade everything. If your buyer can’t live with that then don’t sell to them. Gold does not sell for enough these days that you want to lose an account over it each and every sale you do. Again, this is all just my opinion. Call it overkill if you like, question the method if you like but know this, I have been selling gold on the same account for the past couple of months and no bans or suspensions. Nada, zilch. Maybe I have just been lucky but when I see people talking in the forum about how they lose their vanilla account each time they complete a gold sale I truly believe in the old saying “luck favors the prepared mind.”
