All, I'm an old user of MMOGlider (from the beginning, actually) and I quit WoW once Glider went down. Well, this past week a friend of mine got me back into playing WoW so I decided I need to look for a bot again. I looked at Pirox pvpTool and Mimic, but I wanted to look at HonorBuddy as well. How does this compare to Glider in its final days with PPather and auto-spell detection, etc? How does it compare to the other bots out there? Thanks in advance.
Can be short about it, it doesn't compare period. There's pro's and cons to every bot. Asking here about Pirox or other bots will only result in some negative remarks (simply because one of the rules here is not to talk bout other bots ^^). I suggest to read on independant sites like MMOChampion and the likes for user experiences, comments etc and make up your own mind. Test the bots (U can Buy a 1 day trial I'm corrent with Honorbuddy to login to the account) and experience those that U consider using. I think each bot has it's problems, it's charms, it's pro's and cons. I like HB for it's utility or versatility, but also hate it in times because it annoys me or bugs out. Generally HB is ok for me, it does the job. But without all the user supplied plugins and CC's HB would not be what it is today. Regards, Liquid. ps Glider Elite here btw.
I can't comment re glider, never botted back then. A while back I got over the grind aspect of wow. Be it levelling or making gold. Just too much time for the gain I wanted. I initially used Mimic, it works "ok", but its the clunkiest bloody thing I'd ever seen. Reminded me of half assed "+12" trainers for games of the past. Then I ran into an issue where my mimic trial auto subscribed me to the full version, even though I'd already purchased the full version. My threads on the topic got deleted (4 of them), my PM's went unanswered and then I became aware of a multitude of people who'd had the same issue. You have an account issue where you want something fixed, and you just get ignored. It's also a very "bottish" bot. Came across HB/GB after I spent a little more time researching and even just reading the forums showed me it was a far better bot, with a far superior support base and far more reliable. The support from bossland and the rest of the HB team is second to none. Bots and profiles are almost constantly being updated, so you rarely run into "xxx is screwed" issues, and if you do, it gets fixed quicker than you can post a thread about it. IMHO, HB is the best bot available. The only thing lacking is full instance support and IB2 is on the way to rectify that. It does the basic things and even the complex things magnificently. It's a great bot.
to be honest , it beats glider hands down on most things , the CC's are great (although some need work ) , and it keeps the nice click this and it works interface , ive bought all the other bots , and for simplicity and at the speed you can be up and running , this is the bot to have
First think I loaded honorbuddy (old glider elite user here too), I was in ogrimmar. For fun, I loaded a profile in .. umm far away.. thousand needles or something and just hit "Start". Imagine my surprise when he just mounts and runs all the way there to start grinding. That got me hooked =)

I bought it! I loaded it up with Kick's quest profiles and it's plowing away now. I had no idea you could bot quests now too! +Rep
I am so impressed already. This is awesome. Glider, I'll miss you, but you've been beat. (at least from what I've seen so far)
I would suggest looking in the pluggins section as there are loads of pluggins that are usefull - personally i use: Autoangler 2 - flys around and fishes pools. will land on ground or on water depends on if you are a water walker whispernotify - for those times that your close to your pc - semi afk - it makes a siren noise when your whispered buddy center/buddyprowl - will send a txt to your iphone/ipad or android device if you get a whisper, level, die, emoted or win the lottery its that good! oh and of course Arelog - from honorbuddy devs - will log you back in if you get DC'd also you can shedule what character and when you are online old glider elite user here as well
yup , just make sure you read any instructions with the cc's and profiles and your experience will be even better
