Just as the title suggests. How important is sending receiving whispers/ talking in guild and party and the like? Does blizz even track it? Maybe your account is reviewed? But wouldnt this flag anti social people as well? And effectively just waste blizz's time. I practiced talking with myself on lots of accounts allot. But sometimes there are accounts that are owned by the same person.. Talking to yourself suggests someone else is playing the account Also bannable. Thoughts?
Can't really answer your question but I'd thought I'd add a line or so. I make sure when botting (always watching it, at work I remote desktop to my machine to keep an eye on it) if someone speaks in local or whispers, even comes online in guild I'll have a bit of a chat. I think it's good practice, but no real idea how it effects your chances of being banned! (The guide's do say to be social!)
Well, this is just from my own reasoning, but I don't think Blizzard flags people solely based on not talking. But, if your account is under review because someone reported you, then they might check logs and notice a pattern of you on and farming for 12 hours and not talking to anyone ever. So, being antisocial won't get you flagged, but farming for hours on end and not being social will probably raise some eyebrows when an account is under review.
yeah i agree with shaorinor, however in my case i have several accounts, and one of them is my main account and i dont bot on it, but i still farm alot of mounts etc, and use alot of time doing it some days, but i aint exactly super social either when doing it, cause i usally am on teamspeak or skype with guildies, so dont type much tbh :S But i would agree being anti social isnt a reason too get flagged. For my bot accounts they run often for several hours grinding the same place, and i always keep an eye on them while they do so, and if someone whisper me or whatever i ofc reply cause otherwise it would seem odd i guess.
Ok... so code into a profile to throw out a chuck norris joke into trade chat once or twice an hour... ;-)
I hardly talk to anyone. Ginvite if I have to, go do something quick for a guildie and don't say anything, troll trade chat once in a while, ignore whispers in bg's, ignore whispers while gathering unless I can answer in one minute. I personally don't think it matters; if they start looking closely at my account socialization would be the least of my problems.
You could just be on vent all day, as long as you respond to random whispers; communication wise i doubt they throw too many resources that direction, if any at all.
Ya ive thought pretty hard about this last statement anyway "if they start looking closely at my account socialization would be the least of my problems." " Im just not sure if it matters but just trying to avoid the banhammer, hopefully for another year lol Also the same as you Toftie if someone msgs me I always respond, and goof around when ppl are near me. Even try to wave when people get near me but since they are strangers they normally just shrug you off but at least it acknowledges their presence. And it may be possible that the activity that your doing is timed. My suspensions have came from when I was doing something that was pretty inhumanly possible. Such as grinding for 5-6 hours no breaks, and I did talk at the end saying I was going off and made a goofy fake convo with all my bots making jokes. Still got suspended anyway /puzzled
Maybe Bliz caught that they were all from the same IP and figured you needed some time for therapy... j/k of course.
