A bit off topic as this isn't related to botting at all.

I was just chilling in Org waiting for a PUG or something and I see in chat "wts 30 day gamecards 6k."
So I just said, eh why not? and said "i'll take one"

So he invites me to group, I SHOW him 6000, and he just whispers me the code.
I try the code out and it actually works. It says that a 30 day gamecard was added.
I seriously didn't think it would work, so I was panicking and disconnected since I wan't to keep my gold.

Sooooo, I pretty much scammed someone of their gamecard.

I'm pretty sure that dudes gonna go report me and all, but can blizz really close my account for this?
I was just gonna say that the game card doesn't work, but of course blizz is gonna check all chat logs, and my account payment history.

Should I just log back in and pay him for the super over price time card? Or just sit on this and think of it as a free 30 day card?

if he will report you, they will ban him too, so i don`t think so.

Well first scamming someone in my book is being tard, i am sorry but such act is just totaly stupid, would you like to be scammed?

Second even if i think the guys is a scammer himself, 6k isnt much paid for 30 day, considering 6k worth at best 12$ lately...

Third if he is a scammer, the gamecard will likely be reported as being stole or he used a credit card to buy it and will get it reversed ( credit card stolen or whatever reason ) i doupt you will get the 30 day , i think it will be gone in few days , comon use of the scammer.

Last you may get suspended or banned for trading gold to a scammer or even if it was a legit player which i doupt, i hope for you it doesnt come to it, but dont be surprised if it does.

Do you bot on the account you scammed on? Personally I like to avoid drawing any attention to my bots, especially negative attention.

Log back in and give the guy his 6k, it's not like that's a lot of gold.

Most of the time these people selling 1 month gametime cards, are actually scammers. What they do is either use a stolen credit card or use their card and purchase one month of game time from the blizzard store. After they get you to give them the gold they wait a few days and place a chargeback and blizzard takes the gametime away from you.

blizzard wont ban you, but i will, since scamming is against the rules, i dont care if its for a Honorbuddy key, or gamecard from some scrub in trade chat, scamming is scamming.
