txrallydude,, i guess you have a hard time understanding english. I started a new toon and it just happened within 20 minutes.
Yes, but you had identifiable information in this thread and likely some similar information between accounts like payment details/ip etc.
Old botting mantra: Don't bot on an account that you are afraid to lose. There is no 100% undetectable bot. I think the "Buddy" crew are close, given their longevity and success with Gatherbuddy/Honorbuddy in WoW, but people still can get suspended or banned. People do stupid things, like put up hundreds of auctions, bot for significant time away from a computer (and possibly get stuck on things), vendor extremely large amounts of things, or run public profiles (nothing quite like seeing a kill train of bots go through a path!) -- none of which is the fault of the software, but of the end user. We don't have all of the information for why this player was suspended, but neither does he. He has a ticket from Trion, and those of you that have botted WoW before know that Blizzard does a similar thing with occasionally generic or uninformative emails. Player reports are the most common at this stage of the game in Rift, it seems -- all it takes is one person wandering by and seeing someone following a set path over and over, then filing a ticket. GM invisibly shows up and watches, and poof, suspension. Anywho, back around to point, don't bot an account that you're afraid to lose.
I would venture to guess that Trion can do the same analytics that Blizzard does with IPs. They suspend a player on one IP, the player loads up another account and may even play legitimately for a bit, and they suspend it too. These kinds of methodologies aren't public information from these companies, but that's a pretty common conjecture based on historical botting results.
Yes you were reported if it was a detection issue we would all be getting banned/suspended, someone prob just saw you running into a wall for a short bit or the bot acting up shit happens its only a 24h suspension. Shit happens you're botting expect it from time to time. Trion takes a different approach from blizzard, bliz will watch you for days and make sure youre botting then log you and go through ban waves, whereas Trion sees your botting and instead of making sure and then giving you the perma just right as soon as they get a red flag they slap you with a 24h warning suspension to let you know they are suspicious. So dont think too much of it trion is much more trigger happy when it comes to bots but they have less firepower if you get what im saying.
I saw three people following the same path, and then for some reason they were glitching. One actually was running along with his feet in midair (like what happens with bull charge) even though he was running around (neither of his feet were on the ground). I just wonder if it looked like that to him on his end, or if his character looked normal to him.
I love it when people say I KNOW I WAS NOT REPORTED.... Yeah? Are you sure? Prove it. There is not way of knowing. 80% of bans are from reports.... Most likely you were reported.
Category Level 1: In-Game Support Category Level 2: Report a Player He was reported, dunno what he expected farming for 3 days straight in the same place.. not to mention a high traffic area
Plus he's on really low pop server, what he claims to be the lowest, which means when you only see 5 people a day and all of a sudden you meet a new face what are you going to do? You're going to try and talk to them because its one more person to play with. Botting on a low pop server is smart botting on a dead server is stupid because its easy when there are only maybe 100 active players on the server to point out something fishy when one is being suspicious.
Trion have written you a polite email that says you were reported. Its best accept that fact and then work out what you'll do differently next time. My suggestion would be to run the bot for less than 96 straight hours which is what you say you were doing.
If botting makes you this nervous, don't bot. You got reported. End of story. If there was some sort of detection going on, none of us would be botting cause we'd all be suspended.
Don't risk your main account if you aren't worried about losing it. Also don't use public profiles. Learn to make your own. I have done a mage from 1-42 currently running and a cleric 1-37. Also a rogue 1-25/Mage to 28. Make your own profiles and you should be a lot better off.
Thank you for your appeal inquiry. After reviewing pertinent logs, we have determined that the action taken against your account for unattended gameplay was correct. We will not be reversing relevant suspensions and/or notes applied to your account. Your account will be unbanned in about 17 hours.
