When exactly does the ban start? from when i recieved the email? cause i woke up to an email saying i have a 24 hour ban for unattended play but as most of you know, i couldnt of been reported yesterday since the bot didnt work due to patch... So if the email says 4:09 will i be able to play again at 4:09 or will it be from the time i got the email? Thanks in advance Also a heads up not sure if people already knew this or not, but they are rolling account back when you get caught. i was rolled back to 6/1/2011
The system seems to actually require a GM to unlock your account, so it could be slightly longer than 24 hours. The bot worked yesterday up until the patch at 8AM PST. It's entirely possible you were discovered, kicked off, and suspended well before the time the servers went down and the bot was broken if your email was 4:09 AM.
Yea but yesterday i didnt run the bot at all. So it was a previous date i was reported. Should i put in an email? Also the email was sent this morning at 4:09AM sorry if my original post was misleading. I just wanna see exactly how far back i was rolled back =( I did instances and crap too so that means all my gears gone =(
I'm not an expert but that means they probably used logs to verify. From what I've gathered I don't think Ryftomate uses actual keystrokes; perhaps that's something that should be explored. If that were to happen, it would mean a GM would have to verify you're not communicating.
If my toon was rolled back, will this effect my other toons or is it specific to just the one toon? Cause if its the entire account then boy do i have some explaining to do regarding Raid Items i picked up since the 1st
One more question, if i had a dummy account and was to follow the account with my main would my main account still be banned if caught like one id be botting with?

These companies really don't give a flying fuck about law unless you appear on their doorsteps with a lawyer (metaphorically speaking) or you're very convincing in your claim to pursue your goals by legal means. Like the wow account I had banned before there was anything going on that could've been verified. Actually from what I could gather the whole AGB (as we call the agreement shared with blizz) seem to be in disharmony with our laws, the very basis of being forced to agree to a contract after or even through buying an article is in disharmony with said laws. But unless you play serious with them, nothing's gonna happen, they'll just say fuck the law. Now if you're a major gold seller and make a few thousand in cash every month you might consider the hassle worth the payout, otherwise you're just fucked. The best you can usually do with "these people" is beg for mercy and let them know how damn sorry you are and what a little wimp and all that. I actually got an account restored within an hour after selling 200k gold from it. And got banned again and got it restored again (final warning!) and I just kept botting and nothing ever happened again lol. These gm's are regular people with a heart and if you come across as a desperate guy, they'll be a lot more okay with gold selling and botting than when being a smart mouthed prick wielding law books. Same goes for dealing with all kinds of officers and whatnot over here in Germany. You gotta master the art of persuasion by inducing empathy. I've done so several times with cops (red lights blah blah, dozens of times), state attournees (major (!) dmt lab, got off with a warning; severe assaults on the honor of a group of pseudo cop security guard type people which should've lead to a massive (!) fine), and other types of folks (squeezing more cash out of the gouvernment). God I'm such a low life lol. Anyway, you get the idea: Forget arguing, get through to their heart! I'm dead serious. On a sidenote (a true highlight regarding these tactics imho): I crossed the street free handed with a cell phone in my hand while the traffic lights were clearly red. Cops pull me over, the "officer overly important and sergeant straight cock" types, the chick had her little book and a pen in her hands, about to write a ticket and I just go: "Oh no, please no, not this. I have a kid!" And she goes "Are you gonna beg now?" and I go: "Yes, oh yes I'm begging you" And they suddenly turn into real human beings made of flesh and bones and with something almost resembling a friendly smile on their faces they let me go on. Lol, acting is great, I'm the worst liar there is, I've never had anyone believe my lies unless I believed them myself. A pinch of truth and a pinch of a twist in that truth can go a very long way. I should still be in freaking prison for that dmt lab (didn't have a kid back then ofc)... I didn't even pay a single cent though!!!!!

2 of my accounts got suspended for 24 hours as soon as the 24hrs passed from the time in the e-mail i was able to log back in. There was no roll back i still had all my platinum and my 50 auctions of witchweave sold. Just gonna have to make my own profiles now since the south telara hotspot and the one in the ryftomate advertisement video seem to be 2 areas that are watched by GM's now.
Hmm, did you run the bot a really long time? I mean, something obvious that a person couldn't do without account sharing? Sorry to hear about your rollback.
GM's aren't required to dole out the same punishment, or even detect you in the same manner. Reminds me of another game where the expectation was that a GM would identify themselves as a GM and try to get you to respond - yet I personally had a GM make a lvl1 once, not identify themselves as a GM, and pretended to just chat with me. Then the same GM later showed up next to my character, ran around me without saying anything to see if I'd react, then started summoning my character to another position and seeing if I reacted negatively to it. (Mind you all of that was in another game). I wonder how many of these bans are from people running 24/7 (easy to check on later just using server logs), and running on public paths (I literally saw 3 people leapfrogging each other on the same south telara path, like a rabid gang one shotting mobs and all moving in unison).

I am a man that can admit when he is wrong about something and I would like to say that Decyfer is absolutely right. Not even an hour after posting here I was banned and not just banned but rolled back to 46. I would imagine that Trion has spys working for them and they are on this forum! Watch out boys and girls-the ban hammer is coming down hard. Oh well, fun while it lasted. I was just killing time till SWOR anyway
