Just curious if you guys ever considered making the forums accessible to paid members only. I would feel better knowing that not just anyone can come on and see where we make our profiles, how the bot works, and all of our botting related discussions. If they want to spy they can at least pay for it.
if a staff member from rift...or anyone that wants to report us....im pretty sure they can afford $1.....no point really
The Profiles people upload are hotspots and most are in middle of nowhere chances are some people see the forums and then go kil the bots / report them.
This isnt the time for conspiracy theories.... ffs people do you think players will sit and search through bot forums for the sole purpose of ganking bots? wtf srly?
If you register with your account or character name.. you may consider to change it.. or write an email to TRION with the following: "Hello, I am botting, hug me."
I selected yes. I feel people should have to pay so they can ask their usual dumb questions. DOES IT RLY WERK? WILL I GET COT? IZ IT SAFEE? CAN U HOLD ME HAND N SET IT UP 4 ME, IM 2 LAZY TO REED?
I agree partly... then the DEVs should provide a more detailed page about what the bot can and so on and so forth (information like injection, background mode, blabla...). In fact, we can only see hotfix news on the front page which do not give any information about what I am going to buy. Some of these mthrfckn questions should just be ignored (as usual). Furthermore there is no real page that includes information about what the bot is able to do.
is there any point hiding nothing, who's looking for what is here? seems a bit like fear mongering to me. is it not against trions T&C's to use them not make them?
It is against their T&C's so dont count on Trion employees browsing these forums. I dont think anyone bothers as much as to sit and find botters through this site, if so its a very tiny percent of the Rift community which is nothing to worry about if your using private profiles...
If they worded the Legal TOS, they can easily put "If you work with Trion, or are even remotely associated with Trion, you can not legally accept this terms of agreement in the assumption you will use the information on this website to potentially harm or modify the status of users accounts and or status." that way, if Ryftomate were to take trion to court, they can say "How did you detect our clients?" they could say "Blah blah blah, pulled information from the program" which can easily be disputed with "So you unlegally accepted a TOS written that states you are not authorized to use this program, since you had to be a member of the forum to download the program in the first place"
