We all got hit in the ban-weave, or many of us did. After a few days of flaming, mailing, and phoning with Trion i think we all kinda got the point, we are all screwed. So we need to start over again. The question is, how are you going to do it? Any special security setups to avoid banning/have a different IP, if it gets banned? For me, This is how my setup will be. As soon as the new version is released, VMWARE+VPN, Hardcore botting up to 50 and farm the shit out of the game. I bought 5x accounts + 5x 30 days game time cards, so im going with a Mage army. Custom profiles only, special farming routes and times during day with schedule. Its going to be insane! As soon as i'm banned ill go back to normal IP and say i was hacked. In the end, a ban just makes you more of a committed botter, because half of all botters will leave, wile the rest stays and get better.
Bit too hardcore for me, I only wanted the bot to help me level as I am a casual gamer - which has worked out pretty bad for me as I am still a casual gamer but back to square one. Can't see me using the bot on a main account again, might try it for a while on a trial account or second account. Won't risk my main until it has been undetected for at least 3-6 months. I got burnt with an injection bot for Aion and it cost me 4 accounts, which starts to get pretty expensive if your not doing it to sell gold ect..... should have learnt my lesson really
I got banned too. I bought 5 new account and 5 lvl 50 mages. The plan is gonne be nearly the same as yours ;p
I agree with Bargy. I couldn't see going through all that just to have plat and level 50 toons. I had 3 on my account that were not botted and only been playing the game since mid may. If your selling plat(which I heard wasn't very lucrative) I could understand going to that length.
I'm a "hard-casual" gamer (hard-core mindset but with a casual play schedule) who used the bot to level alts. After manually leveling my Rogue to 50, I wanted to play with the other classes but didn't have the time to level them up. After the ban I thought about it for a week and came to the conclusion that this isn't much different than other games where I rolled a lot of alts, sometimes even changing servers. So I think I'm going to start over on another server. There isn't another game out there for me right now. I might quit once GW2 comes out, but until then this is as good a place as any to waste my time. ::edit:: and depending on how the bot development goes, I might bot again.
