I hope I'm posting this in the right section, I figure it doesn't necessarily belong in support. I'm thinking about getting honorbuddy and I'm wondering what kind of PC is the best to get? I want to get a dedicated PC just for botting, so I don't care at all about how it plays games, dvds, or anything like that. I'm guessing the most important thing is RAM? Can WoW be minimized when using HB, and if it can, then does gfx card not really matter? Is there anything that can run 20x bots at a price under $500? Thanks!
If your running 20 bots off one pc your going to need a immense setup. Like 16+ gb ram, definately an i7 and you will probably need dual graphics to run 20 wow's at once.
Thanks for the quick responses! Ok, well I guess I'll ask about 5 bots then, since 20 seems a bit unrealistic =P What are the the minimum requirements for 5 bots? I want the cheapest I can get since I don't want to use it for anything other than botting, though I guess if I could get a laptop or something that'd be convenient.
Cool, thanks. This is the kind of answer I'm looking for. Does the graphics card not really matter when just doing 5 bots?
If we say like this, my computer with 24GB ram, HD6970 card and i7 clocked to 4.0. I can run BF3, Newest GTA, Skyrim and 2 bots in WoW at the same time without any lag or stuffs like that. Just tested with two WoW accounts since its all ive got Maybe not much help but.. I think you can get an computer that holds around 5-10 bots for 1500-2000 dollar, If you are building an own computer like me. Try to focus on: 1: CPU i7 or AMD Phenom II x4, both should be atleast 3.0GHz 2: 1600MZh rams - 8-16GB 3: GPU, maybe it would work on ATI HD5970 but to be sure I should get ATI HD6950
Actually the VGA card is already integrated into the core of Bulldozer processor. BTW no sense to focus at Phenom II X4 currently because Bulldozer will be cheaper and have more cache. About i7 - thats only need if u really want to start a lot of bots (more than 25). And you dont actually need 1600 MHz RAM. 1333 will be enough.
I think so since its just a few dollars diffrent between the prices 1333-1600MHz and its a big "lift" if you are going to multitask hard
Well, since 20 bots probably isn't too realistic, do you think this $550 laptop can run 5 hb without a problem? Newegg.com - Acer Aspire AS5755G-6823 Notebook Intel Core i5 2430M(2.40GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M Is there a laptop that can run 5 at a lower price? edit: or what about this for $400: Toshiba L755D-S5347 Laptop: AMD A6-3400M 2.3GHz, 15.6" 1366x768 LED, 4GB DDR3, 320GB HDD, Radeon HD 6520G, WiFi-N, 6-Cell, Win 7 Prem $400 + Free shipping - Newegg Deals, Coupons and Promos Thanks again!
You would probably be fine with that and 5 wow.exe... I'd suggest one with more ram if you plan on using HB on them. HB uses more memory than GB1 (standalone)
At the start when comp is new, Yeah maybe. When the comps getting 6 month old, I dont think so. If you are buying the computer I recommend you buy so you get the 8 GB ram. Since you only get 4GB with the computer.
