I just bought HonorBuddy and im trying to enter the Key and im guessing my username that first pops up when yu use it. And it just says Authentication failed. Im probably just doing something wrong.. But what is it?
Alright. Got that figured out. Now im getting an error saying: Could not load file or assembly 'fasmdll_managed. Version=1.0/3829.8764.Culture-neutral. PublicKeyToken=53d73c680b66dc5' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. Then when I try to log on again it just says Max Session Authentication Failed. Iv already registered to everything and checked my sessions and there isnt any problems there. And i have restarted my computer as well.. Wut Do?
Check the Honorbuddy Install folder for that fasmdll_managed.dll file. Also make a new folder, redownload HB from here, and unzip into that new one.
Ok so I did everything you said and it started working properly. Then I tried to use Amplify a mage plugin and it did the max session thing again. So I re downloaded HB again and now its doing it even without Amplify.
Bring up Windows Task Manager (ctrl alt del), and look through the processes for Honorbuddy.exe End that process if it exists. After closing HB it can take up to 60 seconds for the login servers to drop the previous login (normally under 20 tho) No need to reinstall for the max sessions error. You can also go to www.buddyauth.com Login/Register Click on sessions If there are any active ones select them, and click kill selected
I killed it and tried again. I got the error about the file not being found and then it becomes a vicious circle.
Odd. I've seen the fasmdll_managed missing in a few threads now... What antivirus do you have? Also what OS? And 64 or 32 bit?
Us AVG showing in logs that it found any hostile/dangerous files and/or programs? And if you could please add Honorbuddy.exe to your AVG and Firewall exceptions lists.
I dont know if it is or not.. and I dont even see honorbuddy on the list of applications to be made an exception :\
You have to specify it using browse or something... HB isn't actually installed into Windows, so there are no Registry additions from it, and thus you will have to browse to the .exe yourself.
I made HB an exception.. but still no luck. I keep getting that same error message about that file.. which I have confirmed is in the folder with HB EDIT: I Have it working now.. I dont know what was causing the trouble and im afraid to try to use a plug in
Run as admin. All the more I can suggest Try adding a plugin or two. If working, congratz. If not, please attach log on this thread for further support
