Must mine each node twice - Can't do that while moving

Hello,

While mining ore, I have noticed that on every node, my character lands on the node and sits there for ~2-3 seconds still mounted, just looking pretty. I see the words "Can't do that while moving" across the screen. Then, after the 2-3 seconds are up, he will go ahead and dismount and harvest.

I can see it in the log,

It appears that he tries to mine, but hasn't stopped moving yet. Could it just be latency? It does look a bit obvious to other gatherers, and I have lost a fair number of harvests to competition as a result.

I've tried to be self sufficient and lurk moar, but have not come across a solution, nor any other reports of similar. Most likely, this is the result of some misconfiguration on my part, nonetheless, I was hoping someone out there may be able to steer me in the right direction.

I started it up and made a new one, rather than sending you a half-meg of txt. (please let me know if you really want that too). The first node went without issue, but the rest gave the ol' "Can't do that while moving" message.

I have the same problem, only happened on older pc, Pentium 4 or below

I have the same problem, working fine with core computer.
Please fix it or we can't use our old pc to bot anymore.

 

I highly reccomend you remove the screenshot, or black out the name.

 

Done and done - no results. Previously, when updates were available there was a link/button in the lower right corner of the main HB interface. Nothing this time, but running the updater took care of it.

Tried this as well - no results. Also, I noticed that the character lands 2 steps in front of the node as opposed to directly on top of it now.

It seems like it needs to just wait a tick before trying to harvest. The release notes for this latest version specifically make mention of speeding up the gathering process, is there any way to slow it back down, just a bit On a hunch, I tried changing auras to see if Crusader Aura was the cause/solution, but that seemed to have no effect.

Have try to install it from scratch and still give this problem.

I have this problem on all my 7 pentium 4 computer and all my core computer is ok

Any better idea?

Latency for both home and world is between 90 and 120 for me.

Trent is reporting this only on his older systems, and that leads me to believe that system load is the culprit. I tested this theory and indeed by opening and running more applications simultaneously I can exacerbate the issue. That is to say, I probably just need a newer system to clear this up

I'll see if I can nail it down by adjusting graphics settings, updating system and video drivers, etc.

Thank you again for your continued interest in assisting with resolving this matter. I believe I have found a solution.

Drivers, etc. were all up to date already, but, running the system with a single monitor vs dual monitor seems to make a big difference. After a fresh reboot and running in single monitor mode, all is well Having a browser (FireFox) open seems to be bad news, particularly if any of the open pages launch a Flash plugin.

I have used a few of HonorBuddy's competitors and it seems that the memory/CPU usage is a little higher with HonorBuddy. It remains a superior product in every other way; I am still very pleased with it overall.

That seems to be my solution: try a reboot, launch WoW+HB right away, and don't watch any videos on the same PC.

I'm having the same problem + another one. I made a thread earlier without a log. Cannot do that while moving issue. My Tauren Druid approaches the herb/ore just fine, but then it tries to start collecting before it comes to a complete stop. It has done this every time I've used GB2 with three different installations, with and without plugins (i.e. Druid Harvest Helper and Stuck Helper), and without a single WoW addon at all. Another problem I've ran into, rarely, is that it will find a node, but then it starts moving back and forth way up in the air above the node until the 20 second blacklist takes effect. I collected 15 nodes in 2+ hours. My latency is ~30-40ms and I've tried to use latency tolerance through the WoW Network Options as well as without it on. My computer is not slow. I never had a problem running 4 WoW instances at a time when I was RaF->RaF->RaF->RaF leveling. I always turn all graphics to low and sound off. I also use windowed mode and shrink the screen to about 2x3 inches. I have nothing else running in the background.

If you happen to find any other problems in my log, feel free to share.

 

Eventho i dont have logs to post now, i noticed this yesterday also on my Miner/herber. Lands on the vein correct and mines it without issues, but if mob agroes and HB kills it -> char moves back to vein and tries to cast mining before stopping. Resulting to cannot do that while moving. I'm usually on 10-40ms, and comp is more than enough.

Didn't help to update.
Did another fresh install, fresh plugins, fresh custom class, and a fresh profile.
I was just farming and saw a dude flying ahead of me without the exact same profile path, only 280% though, so I passed him and came upon a node at the exact same time. He started mining it instantly. =/

......now I'm missing out on a ton of herbs because another Tauren Druid swoops down and loots herbs before I even start. It's like it flys down to the ground and then scoots forward just a bit ever time, thus causing the "cannot do that while...blah" error.

 

I just found out this version taken a lot of memory, I have no problem with the early version with older machine.
