New detection mechanism from Blizzard? (probably not, prolly HB or plugin bug)

I was botting for ore and herbs in twilight. I was out by the coast when all of a sudden the bot diverged 90deg from the profile and started flying inland it flew pretty far and landed spot on on a herb... Straight line! no ore or herb detected during the long flight. I was attacked when i landed so i stoped the bot before it harvested. Could it be that they feed HB impossible data (look at this lovely herb so close to you, doesnt it look tasty) to see how it reacts? A player would never be able to detect the herb.

I have also seen looting when there are no corpse and I have not killed anything, just running down the road, stops and loots.

and yet your not banned, weird isn't it...

In twilight highlands for example, they've been herbs in trees but only 1 herb... maybe it was put there to annoy bots (bot would just loop on it), but a new detection method? no... if there was a new detection method we wouldn't know until we were all banned.

Not really, it happened 5mins ago and If you read the post you will see that I did not harvest. Anyway, I doubt that they ban you if you harvest one or loot a few corpses. They would flag you for future reference.
fake loots is nothing new, they used to do it In Tibia to catch bots. Worked great! (for Tibia) until the bots started checking that they had actually killed what they looted. (HB does not do that, it loots all that it can. Killed by me or not)

There is also the possibility that since you were in Twilight Highlands, the node you were headed to is / was part of a phase area of the zone that is locked to you based on quest progression.

Yes, and I saw it the first time today, how often do you see your bot fly halfway across the map (WAY outside of its profile path) with a bead on a herb? We are talking from the shores at Obsidian Forest to just by Crucible of Carnage. Of cause it could just be a bug in HB sending my toon on a flight to the north and it just snaped out of it when it hit the node... far from impossible! ;-)

I have done all the quests there. And that would not explain the mega long detection distance. I see two possible explanations:
      1. Blizz is feeding us bad data (ala phantom loot)
      2. There is a bug in HB that froze my bot in its path and it kept on flying and when it "woke up" it saw the node... I'm now partial to this one. Since I do not know at what position my bot started moving toward the node it not possible to tell.
