      Hey guys,

I just startet botting and would like to have ~6 lvl 85 bots running in a few weeks. There is one thing left I' like to know.

      - Considering the risk of getting banned: Would you prefer to create one Battlenet Account and set up 6 WOW Cataclysm in this account only? Or would you prefer to create 6 seperate Battlenet Accounts with one WOW Cataclysm account on each?

I'm not sure about this because of the risk of being banned. Let's say I have one Battletnet Account with 6 WOW Cata accounts - what would happen, if one WOW Account got banned?

Thank you very much for your help - I really like the forum. :)

      Hogan

P.s.: Any advice where to buy cheap cata keys?

This is somewhat of a preference rather than a 'right answer' type of situation. I've heard that Blizz doesn't ban additional accounts when they find a problem, they ban just the one... so theoretically, if one of your accounts got banned for whatever reason, it SHOULD have no effect on the others... but then again, I've also seen people that have had 5 or more accounts banned at the same time - sometimes related by Battlenet, sometimes related by IP, sometimes not related in any discernible way... and yet, they were banned within minutes of each other.

So... advantages of all under one Battlenet account - IF you are challenged and need to prove who you are, it's easier to produce one id than many. It's also easier to not have to come up with multiple methods of payment, one for each account.

Advantages of separate - no ties between the accounts other than your machine(s)... a big disadvantage could certainly be that if you do have to 'prove who you are', you may have to get some Photoshop skillz... and don't use the name "Big Balls" as your 'real name' (one of the ppl on here did... yea... that account's probably not coming back... noone is going to believe that driver's license... lol)

This is just some info... nothing concrete I'm sorry to say but that's largely because none of us work for Blizzard and can't know for sure what tools they use and when.

If you may end up wanting to sell an account, they'd be better off on seperate BN accounts.

They do ban other accounts on the same battlenet account, I have had all wow accounts on the same battlenet account banned at the same time before, it was a rare event as usually I just get 1 account banned but obviously this particular GM decided to investigate further and thus my other wow accounts were banned too.

Thank you very much for your help, guys. I think it might be a good idea to set up seperate accounts then.
