Honorbuddy was working great until i was disconnected from the WoW server a few hours ago. I logged back into WoW but HonorBuddy had gone white and was "Not Responding". I ended honorbuddy.exe via task manager and since then, HonorBuddy will not load completely. When I double-click on honorbuddy.exe, I can see the honorbuddy.exe opening under processes and it consumes 50% of the CPU resources. The process sits there and stays between 46%-50% but I receive no logon box. I have rebooted, cleared my HB settings folder, reinstalled HB, download HB and reinstalled, removed .net and reinstalled .net. There are no issues being logged in the Event Viewer nor are there any HonorBuddy logs. The Logs directory is empty. I am currently running Windows XP SP3.

try to do a rollback to a restore point from a day or so ago and see if that fixes it... Java just came out with an update and it made my HB run weird on my vista laptop but my win7 machine was fine... I know HB has nothing to do with Java but Java has been known for breaking really weird shit in the past maybe this is the issue.... maybe it was some other update you did?
The initial rollback didn't work. So I decided to roll it back to a point in December. That didn't work. However after the December rollback, I did receive an error. Windows was popping the "application has quit unexpectedly" error after 4-6 seconds of double-clicking on honorbuddy.exe. I had enough. I formatted hdd and reloaded windows. Installed HB and .net 3.5 SP1. Ta-da! It's working again. I'm happy.
Yup. I didn't bother updating XP accept to install Windows installer 3.1. I wanted to see if it would work on a basic install of XP and it did. I only use this laptop for basic applications so wiping and reinstalling was no biggie.
