Personally im using BGbot for every BG besides WSG.... since the GYs havent been updated yet. And i am botting BGs every weekend... its how i prefer to level my alts. Everylowbie CTA they get leveled up and on the higher level CTA i geat JP and PvP gear on my mains... a total of 14days 9 hours of BG botting. without so much as a whisper to me.

As someone who runs BGBot for darn near 20 hours a day, there are issues...but this thread LARGELY overstates them imo. WSG is the worst and there are some other spots in some of the others that can be troublesome, hence the reason BG Bot 2 is in development. But even with the WSG bg face humping the wall, i've yet to have issues (bans, whispers, etc). Chalk it up to luck or whatever you want but i've botted 2 toons from 60 to 85 using BG Bot and geared them in full ruthless and a few pieces of cataclysmic.

The BIGGEST issue I've had with BG Bot is crashes...and just something I've learned to deal with until there's an update.

Coming from Pirox, HB is superior for the simple fact that it is 'smarter'. I've only seen my toon on the same path as another individual 1 time to my recollection. Expecting perfection is unrealistic...but if you take a step back and actually think about it, players constantly get stuck on something after auto running and taking a drink or grabbing some of the --insert snack here-- they have sitting at their desk. It seems 'botty' to us because WE KNOW WE ARE BOTTING. (the one exception being the WSG GY, which is a dead giveaway for ppl who know how bots work)

EDIT: But even then, I'd argue that 75% of the people that know you are botting is because they've botted before themselves.

 

I agree with you. I have AFK botted atleast 10 85's to get them fully Vicious and 359 Jp geared. Doing it all over again now for Ruthless/378 JP gear. I've never had a whisper. I have every toon except a Warrior. Any of the classes than can heal I have heal botting BG's. WSG is the only one I won't bot because of the same reason.

 

Same here never ever got a wisper. im running randoms with bg bot.. strangely for me atleast the wsg problem havent happend in several weeks it just runs off the gy as it should. only problem is that u get the conga line of bots sometimes but honestly it seems like noone cares anymore to report in Bgs.

The Alterac Valley mesh is horrible for the Alliance side, I guess it will never get fixed.

 

Imo, all are to risky because currently there are to many players using this bot (atleast in my battlegroup).

Yesterday i was doing some BG botting and watched it, everytime the bot ran to "a new spot", it placed itself on like 8 or 9 others players (all in the exact same spot, same running pattern, same idle pattern. Everything. It's way to obvious to tell whos a bot or not.

 

Well the problem is that I have made my own custom Bgbot(beta) profile but the mesh makes it run in to a pack of Horde.

 

Anyone understands ur botting when 6+ each 40 man bg per factions runs EXACTLY the same path over and over again.

And yet Blizzard fails to send GM's to ban them, lol.

 

I got full ruthless S11 gear on my main botting randys about 12 hours a day. (AFK for about 4 of the hours a day.)

 

I have over five toons with full season 11... 0 bans from BG Bot.... I did get 2 accounts suspended but it was from transferring so much gold in between accounts. (When I used to always run mining/herbing profiles on them).

Overall I would say you are pretty safe using it (Based on my experience)

 

In all honesty, Battle for Gilneas is probably one of the smoothest running BG's I have ever seen, when used with BGBot. I have been running it this past weekend with it being this weeks CTA, and I am amazed!!! From just this past weekend I have full Ruthless sets for Holy and Ret on my Pally, and this is only botting 10 hours a day for the past 4 days. Its incredible lol

 

do you queue for random bg? because there is this WSG bug and what if the bot queues random and then comes to a WSG bg?

 

I bot only in Alterac.

Why ?

-Most Honor per session. Seriously. Weekends or no weekends, you always get a lot of honor, especially when you bot.

-Safest BG to bot. Big, lots of people, lots of clutter, big battles, nobody cares as long as you kill stuff, which BG Bot does. You will always get at least 2 or 3 KB's so at worst you can pass for a really shitty or lazy player.

-Relatively fast queue.

-Totally AFK'able

 

If you have a good CC you can easily go bot the smaller BG's aswell. Ive seen my ret pala tear up those BG's with not much sweat and with the new BGBuddy its just amazingly hard to tell from real players.

 

With the ability to que as a group + RaF...I've cared a little less about how safe it is

 

Well as a Resto Shaman, I can BG bot ALL day and night and not run into problems.
Infact, I've geared myself, Resto & Elemental. Full heirlooms on a druid, rogue, and almost DK.
AND! Used honored to buy my mats for full enchants.

I love it.

 

At first i used pir0x, but came here as soon it shutdown.
I managed to stay unbanned with pri0x for 7 months, bgbotting all night everynight
and i gotta say that this one is alot better, so i would feel even more secure..

Currently got 13 85's and still botting on my main account!
