I can see why you get banned for killing the same mob over and over for hours on end, but has anyone got a ban from doing a huge loop where you rarely clear the same mob more then once in over an hr?
Obvious anwser is obvious; If you look like a bot, you might get banned for being a bot. Doing a huge loop will make you make you stand out less and thus decreasing the risk of getting a ban. Still, you might get banned within minutes for walking into a mailbox.
im pretty sure this type of botting is caught by the system not just by player reports, and walking into a wall shouldnt get you caught by the system especially not "within minutes". if they automatically search all chat logs for keywords, then they certainly check statistics to detect someone leveling by grinding which no intelligent human would do. so if you kill over x amount of mobs in x amount of time then you get an auto ban. im looking for someone who has strictly done this type of loop for skinning and been banned. if blizzard could completely stop ppl from botting and selling gold then the game would probably die, unless they reduce the farm time needed to do what you want. im sure they make alot of money banning accounts, it costs over 100$ not including game time, they know that you will probably go and buy a new account and only allow you to get away with so much before banning you again. obviously grinding is alot worse on the game then gathering so they will issue more bans for that, but you are grinding when your skinning.
Nah bro, grinding is not caught by the system.. I mean maybe if you're doing it 22+ hours a day or something. It's pretty much all player reports.
im grinding all my chars and im not banned u just with bad luck but i also do dungeons and have my own guilds
dont mean to be rude but there is nothing more annoying then getting answers from people that don't know what they are talking about. i've read alot of ban reports and some said they used a fresh account, 1st time botting, noone else in the zone, no whispers and banned within a few hours of pure grinding. i think it usually takes alot longer to even get a response from a ticket. i know they scan all chat in the game so why wouldnt they scan your statistics, its all public in your achievements. oh and i was already told by a gm that i was "caught by the system" when making too much gold and doing too many gold transactions with other people and my guild bank. he told me to "tone it down" do smaller amounts at a time.
So the GM caught you selling gold? Or you were just sending large amounts around to your characters (being different accounts)? -Cause if he caught you selling, that's one awesome GM to tell you how to stay more safe lol.
I dont talk about selling gold in game so they unbanned me everytime. i wasnt botting back then either. after reopening the same ticket to appeal, they finally gave me a non automated answer to why i keep geting banned. even 5k face to face was getting me banned. this has never happened b4 so apparently my acct got flagged. it started after i purchased a tcg mount for 100k and resold it, i was also argueing with a tard about the value of gold within the same couple days, and the ban always occured 3 days after the transactions.
I started an account last year and ground the first 30 levels before the account was suspended for 72 hours for botting. I submitted a ticket disputing the charge and the account was restored with a cautionary email from Blizz listing several behaviors that they considered to be "bottish behavior", one of which was grinding mobs. I've seen posts where people say that grinding didn't elicit any response from Blizz for them, but it certainly did for me. Maybe the key is to use a huge loop, or to grind in different areas to break up the type of mobs killed per hour. Personally I just don't grind any more.
yes, he's right, its happend to me, im using questing bot, and they ban me at lvl 20. Im opening in game ticket and chat with GM, he said "you got hit by accident by our sistem, its rare happend". SO.. im agree is 100% system
