Hi everyone. I just started using HB again after a year or so, and noticed that I had a problem that also dates back that far. When mining with Gatherbuddy2, I notice that I always dismount right next to a node. 95% of the time this works fine, but I can fall to my death the other 5% of the time. If I'm lucky, GB will just blacklist the node after X # of seconds of trying to fly/climb back up to it and continue along its way. This is not what I'm looking for since I'm trying to get the most out of mining and don't want to blacklist nodes that are actually very easy to get to. How difficult would it be to have the character fly directly on top of the node before dismounting? This pretty much means that you have to fly maybe 2 yards farther before dismounting. This would be quite advantageous since you can stand on a node no matter what the slope is, and you can mount and fly off before the node disappears. Is this possible with a simple plugin, or perhaps a quick fix in a file to fly "X distance + 2 yards?" Thank you all for your time.
give us a log that shows the problem plz http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/guides/9859-how-attach-your-hb-log-file-pictures.html
I think everybody that uses gb2 will have had experience of that. I'd prefer it to land exactly on top of the node to avoid falling or looking very bot like trying to get back to the node or getting stuck in the process. Even my Druid herbing has that issue in uldum farming whiptail next to the river, usually ending in the river. I don't have a log right now (at work).
Hi, Tony. Thank you for responding. I should have mentioned that it is not a "bug" or "problem" with the actual software, rather than a minor oversight in the way flying/gatherbuddy works. It is VERY good at heading directly to a node and dismounting in front of it to mine it. The character doesn't even have to take a step to start mining, so it is VERY accurate. My post was mainly to offer an alternative so that the character can land ON TOP OF the node instead of next to it. This will solve many problems with people falling off cliffs, have their character try over and over to get up a hill (looking very bot-like in the process), and causing Gatherbuddy to blacklist a perfectly usable node. It seems to me (with my very low level programming skills and understanding) that a simple option could be allowed for users to tell the bot to fly "2-3 extra yards in the direction of the nodebefore dismounting." This would allow the character to drop directly on the node, regardless of the direction from which it was approached. I feel this would solve all of the problems I mentioned above. I hope this better helps describe my suggestion. Thank you for your time, Tony. This is not a complaint, rather a suggestion that could be used by many to improve their Gatherbuddy2 experience.
