Hey, I was just wondering if anyone here uses www.logmein.com to monitor their bots from work or anywhere else? I've read the posts about teamviewer but it seems that you need to install it on both machines, where as logmein is only installed on your home machine and functions like a webex. I was just wondering if anyone has tried it out? I have it currently downloading at home and I'll keep this posted with any updates as I go. Oh and this is a freeware software!
I use LMI for servers and things, but for graphically intense applications (like WoW) teamviewer is better. You don't need to install TV either, you can run it as a portable app.
Yeah Ive found Team viewer is better then logmein..... because its free ! and works just as well if not better =]
Awesome thanks, I'll definitely give that a try! From reading Mess's post it seemed like it had to be installed on both computers without the ability to have a web baised client. Jumping from Office to Office a web baised would be perfect!
Thanks, got it set up at work now, gonna get it going on my home computer in a few! Does the computer ID change if I have a dynamic IP at home and my router resets?
nope ^_^! pretty sure it doesnt, and @Scattered Last time i used it, over 2 years ago it wasn't free Lol =]
This assumption is incorrect. I use logmein and you only need to install it on the computer with WoW. There is a webbased client that you use to access. Furthermore, there is 30day trial of the full version and after that you can use the product for free, only remote access, no sound and file transfers
I'm sorry my post wasn't clear, I was under the assumption that Teamviewer had to be installed on both machines, not logmein... Either way I was wrong=p
I've been using TeamViewer for a long time now. You only have to install(or run) the software on both machines. I have it installed on my home computer and I only download and run it when I am at work. You can/should make a account on their site and add the ID of the target computer there so when you log in(the software that is) you have it at the friends list. That way you don't need to remember the number every single time. It does not require a static IP and will not be affected if your IP changes any way. I've used Logmein in the past but due to the way it works it provides really really crappy FPS and you can't do anything with it. Teamviewer on the other hand has a bit better FPS and you can somewhat control some actions of the bot.
oOo you have a HTC pro 2 huh still on my G1 here about to throw it into a damn lake lol, that incedliolous or whatever its called seems nice too, The new one on verizon i think it is?
