Greetings, Even if a bot is confirmed, we sometimes do not throw them out of the game inmediatley. This is working as intended because we have an automatic security software that catches such programs and bans them in waves. When a new program appears though the system needs some time to adjust and then catch all user of the program at once, and not only those who were reported. It's always better to let a few accounts farm for a little longer and ban thousend accounts afterwards at once instead of banning 2 and let the other 1000 continue farming. You will see, that if they are botting, they will dissappear eventually. Kind regards, Game Master ******* English Customer Support <<<<http://eu.blizzard.com/support/index.xml>>>> what do you think? is it true? Do they have a security program?
nah.i've just been banned permanent and i've been trying to find how i've been banned. Was it a report or really security program
security program called Warden maybe? lol n yes it does seem like the message is put across as if your asking why the botters on your server arnt banned yet
It seems pure B****it to me ... to justify that they are kinda permissive with bots. (see that "final warning" post)
I think you wrote it... "dissappear"... "thousend"... "inmediatley"... If GM's are as retarded as to misspell several times, then I doubt they could even have the brain sense to use Microsoft Outlook to send you a message.
no, they aren't as to gm answer I know for sure that the part: "Even if a bot is confirmed, we sometimes do not throw them out of the game inmediatley" is 100% true once gm even told me that they dont ban right away because it gives bot creators useful informatiom about their methods
Seriously, who cares? You bot, you can get banned - that's life. Bot intelligently, that's all I can say - never recieved a perma.
look the gm was talking out his ass, its their job to deal with bots, so if your like "Mr sir, your doing a shitty job because theres still lots of bots" one easy way to get around that and make him look good is to say, they are there because he allows them to be. not only that but it has the double edge sword of not only making him look good, but scaring everyone else, im sure he knows he talks to botters, i mean he did ban the account for botting, why wouldst he tell lies to put doubt into your mind? its all psychological.
nice analysis CodenameG . i think it even goes past that though. im almost absolutely certain that blizz gave official order to NOT ban botters unless they fall into very specific categories, say e.g. users with >100 reports or 10 reports per week or whatever. ive been running my main acc 24/7 for about a yr now, it has gotten a permaban for goldselling and AFTER that two 72h suspensions for exploitation, but ever since then: NOTHING! if we assume he did not know that he was talking to a botter than hed have to justify why some bots dont get banned. "its all serving a greater cause of banning as many bots as possible". my ass it is lol. blizz knows that if they ban 10000s of accounts now, not only will they use 100k's of usd's per month, but also they will permanently lose a lot of players AND disrupt the currently relatively stable economy. im guessing theres gonna be a single ban wave before pandaria though, but im optimistic my main account will be spared from it.# anyone who thinks blizz is actually after botters needs to have a reality check. this program might kick ass, but it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to avoid server side checks for bots. i could tell you a 1001 ways to eliminate each and every single wow account that uses hb within a week. now the rift team, they were actually after botters and had to pay the price i assume. noone is talking about the game, eventhough its absolutely fantastic. thx for the lulz.
