Zuabros, Congrats on getting your account back! Very happy to see that you didn't lose your main. Like you, I probably would have a hard time doing what my bot does on most of my toons... lol Only a class or 2 could I meet or exceed what the bot does in dps. My healers make me look bad... lol

Agreed, so bloody lazy now with botting I have no idea what half the spells do now, hard to play by hand these days.

Your biggest mistake was botting 18 hours a day on a consistent basis. It's okay to pull 18 hour sessions from time to time.. but not constantly. Most of Blizzards server side detection is about data mining player statistics and finding outliers. Stuff like kills per day averaged over a week... nodes farmed per day averaged over 10-12 days... hours played per day averaged over a week... stacks of X mat posted per day averaged over a week or two. Botters stick out like a sore thumb when simple statistical analysis is done and out outliers start to popup.

I recommend botting no more than 12-14 hours a day and take a one to two hour break in the middle of your session. You can more than likely push that a little higher, but at those numbers you're playing well within normal human tolerences.

 

i botted heavy junkboxes for 48 hours straight (mailing them to an alt) and got around 4300 junkboxes and never got a ban (and i even sent evry1 back to my rouge opended them checked for the epic and sent evry1 back for sale to my alt)
So all in all i sent around 13k items and never got an auto ban

 

Do that for 2 weeks and see what happens. Blizzards server side detection is all about statistics so it takes more then a couple of days for you to get flagged. Generally it takes two weeks but I've seen it happen in a week or so. Depends on if you've been reported by a player.. that will trigger a manual review of your account by a GM and then it's much easier to spot what they consider "3rd party" or "hacks" suspension. They also have a much lower bar for humans to flag an account vs automated detection.

 

Gz on getting your account back Zuabros, you've made quite a bit of contribution to this community, I'm glad to hear your appeal worked.

 

I used the standard appeal form provided at the link of the banned thing. Things I said:

1 - My wow is not loggin in, I don't know what happened.
2 - I received an e-mail saying that i traded game currency for real life things, I don't understand what that means exactly, as I have a job, and play the game for fun, never traded such things.
3 - I have played wow for 4 years, I am a respectuful player.
4 - Please fix this issue.
5 - Thank you.

I think the secret in appealing, is to make it look as you are not a botter. Avoid using the word "bot", or "h*ck", or "ban", or "sell gold", or any bot-related language. Try to look you *really* are a legit player that has been incorrectly catch by the automated system.

Keep in mind one thing: GMs and blizz are not stupid. They know that you did not farm those 40 stacks of elementium by hand. But they "need" that you say that to unban you. They can't simply unban if you say: "I am a botter, sorry, please unban me."

It's the same thing when your girlfriend KNOWS you are che*ting on her, but all she needs is that you say you are not, to keep everything the same.
Again when you wake up late and go to the doctor saying you are Ill... the doctor knows you are not telling the true, but he probably does not care, as long as you say you are.

Now I am preparing for MoP:

1 - Levelling 4 DKs, two of them herb + min and other two min + eng. DK's are the best option for farming at the beginning of MoP, because:


a) DKs have speed bonus (pale horse spec)
b) Dks can be specced Tank (blood), standing higher level mobs and areas at the beginning
c) Dks have pet and death grip: if your bot gets stuck somewhere trying to reach a mob, it will either death grip the mob, or the pet will kill it, thus unstucking the bot.
d) Dks wear plate, and even at unholy spec are harder to kill than cloth/leather users
e) Singular DK CC is very good.
f) You can always spec tank and make some fast-queue dungeons to get gear when you need it.
g) Dk's come pre-levelled and basically can start farming out-of-the-box
h) You can creat them Draenei, and get "gift of the naaru" excelent bot racial.


I LOVE DKs...

 

You seriously consider start using private profiles instead of your public ones. Its crazy how many people who are using your profiles, its a little risky.
