This is exactly how it looked in my email...I don't think they try anymore. It's like a shot gun blast you just hope it hits something or in this case someone falls for the email and gives up their info. NOT to mention the email address it came to hasn't actually been used in 4 years or so. It's not even affiliated with my accounts. It was just too funny and thought I would share a laugh.

This is 100% true. The sad fact of the matter is Blizzard will only tell people so much information in regards to ensuring they do not fall victims to these scam, the reason being is that Blizzard simply want to make money from their Authenticators.

If Blizzard booked up their ideas and educated players correctly we might actually see a decline in people being scammed.

The Chinese gold farmers are getting desperate. Basically they are just using legit accounts that they steal to transfer gold around. It makes it harder for Blizzard to track movement of money I think. Think of it as disposable mules.

hahahaha basically using stolen accounts to launder gold through, some wow mafia shit right there. Sad thing is the people who feel bad for those dumb enough to fall for a e-mail such as the one hawker posted. The gramatical mistakes should have been enough to scream phisher even if it came from blizzard.com lol........ yes i know my spelling and grammar is horrible but if even i think its bad you know its got to be pretty rotten
