I'm not talking about it not attaching to WoW or anything like that. It just doesn't start up. Sure, it shows up in the process list in Taskmanager and seems to be eating about 30-40% of my CPU, but no login window pops up or nothing. I redownloaded honorbuddy from these forums but it still won't start up properly. No logs show up when I try to start the program or when I kill the process so I can not attach any log. OS: Windows 7 64-bit
make sure that all available important windows updates are installed also try a new Hb installation from scratch
I'm getting the same problem, I click HB and it says would you like to run as admin, I click allow, and nothing. It is in task manager processes but it doesn't come up. But I've just set my pc to factory settings the other day so I guess thats why, because I don't have the updates. I'm just in the process of installing them so hopefully it will work again after that.
By "from scratch", he means download a new copy of HB, click me, and create an entirely new directory. If you have CCs/Plugins just copy their folders to the new directory (though, first, I'd suggest running the NEW bot and seeing if it starts). Sometimes when there are upgrades, and even if you run the upgrader, a fresh install is still needed for all the 'hands to shake', so to speak. Also you may wish to try: Right click on your HonorBuddy shortcut. Go to properties. Compatibility tab. Check 'Run this program as an administrator.' Apply/OK skip the middle man mellome
Working now, had some more updates to do, then it still wouldn't work, so installed HB again and it worked, thanks.
Alright so I installed the Windows updates available, nothing. Downloaded HB again after downloading the windows updates, still nothing. I'm pretty clueless now :/
