      Hello all,

I am new to HB, and am only using it for gathering on a second account. My concern after reading a bit, is what the safest or safer forms of transferring gold or items to my main account/main character?

      This is my scenario:

I have a battle.net account with 2 full cata accounts merged into it.

Account 1 is my main account from classic. Zero suspensions, bans, etc. flawless record. This has my main raiding characters on it.

The other account has my bot. I want to send the mats it gathers to my main to mill and prospect.

Should I send these items through the mail.
Should I setup a guild bank on the bot and have an alt from my main account in this guild to withdraw items and send them to my main character. (since he is in a raiding guild)
Should I trade these items face to face between the two accounts.

Trying to figure out what I can do to minimize risk of detection as to put my main account in as little risk as possible. I have read the various guides and such, but looking for more detailed feedback on which method might work best currently. Also does anyone know how likely a main account that has done no botting is to be perma banned? I hear things like mac address bans are possible and such....

      thanks!

The safest thing to do is not send anything to your main. If your bot gets banned (which is eventually will) your main will be connected and also get banned. It isn't worth the risk. Make another character on the bot account for milling & prospecting.

Yeah, you'll read all sorts of conjecture here about what causes a suspension/ban on bot accounts, connected accounts, and accounts that have ever had commerce. You'll read that Blizzard bans by IP, you'll read that they don't, you'll read that they ban by MAC. you'll read that they don't...basically it's all guesswork with plenty of argument supporting all views.

I bot casually on three accounts, do not sell gold and have sent both gold and items back and forth between accounts for over a year now with no ill effect. I have had bot accounts banned in the past that had close interaction with other main accounts that went untouched. I have personally never had an account banned just because it was associated with an account that I lost to a ban.

Just my personal experience though, your mileage may vary.

And remember that everyone posting here is either posting personal anecdotes or guessing about Blizzard's methods/intentions so take those posts with large grains of salt.

Having said that, I would move the bot account off off your main Bnet account to a Bnet account of its own.
