Hi. I just got banned on my farming character that had been botting all night but it seems like the reason they banned me was for sending large amounts of ore and not actually using the bot. My bank char (on a different account) had all the mail removed (where my farming character sent like 100 stacks of elementium) so I'm guessing that's the reason. Now I'm wondering if there's a big chance I can get the account back seeing as how it wasn't for botting, juts sending really large amounts of ore over a night. Thanks for your help!
I got 2 accounts banned for the same reason about an hour ago. I appealed, and already got both accounts back
I would rather not say exactly what I told them, since that might cause suspicion. However, I told them that I am not and have never been in any way associated with gold selling (which is true). I told them that I recently became unemployed (which is why I am online so much) and that I do use the auction house a lot, but that that shouldn't be any reason to ban me since it's an in-game feature that anyone can use as they wish. Just be nice, don't make any typo's and use capital letters, periods, comma's etcetera. If you do that, you should be fine.
Are you guys on EU servers? A lot of people in the past couple of hours seem to have gotten the abuse of economy ban
But how they can blame us for thinks what we even dosnt do? And are there allways suspent/bann wawes before upcoming patch? :O
Appealed for 1 account and no luck. Whats annoying is that I don't even sell gold? If I got banned for third party program I would understand but abuse of the economy when I don't sell gold is not right.
Also lost 3 accounts today. I did sell gold but on another account (vanilla) which ironically remains standing. All three accounts that were banned were running at the same time. I am guessing they banned by ip? I appealed and 2 accounts remained banned and i am waiting a response on the third. Any chance you can get an account back if they already say no once in the ticket? PS. Third account also a "NO". Well i sold all the remaining guild gold fast and will probably wait to check out gold price in Pandaria. If it remains below 1$/k i will stay away. Not worth it anymore since i bot for the money alone...
Ok so I appealed it and I got off with a 72-hour ban. "Having carefully reviewed your account we have decided to overturn the action taken against it. The closure has been downgrade to a 72 hour suspension for use of third party programs. This is your last and only warning; should something like this occur again your account will be closed permanently." Seems like they did know about the botting. What I'm worried about now is if I'll be on some kind of watchlist when the ban expires.. hmm.
Banned too. Abuse of the economy was in the letter, but i didn't sell any gold from this account. I appealed, that i dont sell any gold and then they telling me, that i was banned for using 3rd party programm....
I always envy you guys getting perma bans overturned. I bot since the early pirox days and have never been able to reduce a sentence. I sell gold every now and then though so maybe they are harder on that. Still sucks that they left me with only a vanilla account... So any chance to still get a perma reduced after they have said no? PS. Ah ... success, kinda. Got back 2 of the 3 accounts with a second try (reduced to 72h). They were in the same battle.net. I got a second 'NO" on the third account which was in its own battle.net. But, hey, tickets are free. I will try again tomorrow. Do you think it will help if i say "your colleague unbanned 2 of my accounts, why don't you unban the third?"? Or will they just hammer all of them again?
