A virtual private network (VPN) is a private network that interconnects remote (and often geographically separate) networks through primarily public communication infrastructures such as the Internet. VPNs provide security through tunneling protocols and security procedures [1] such as encryption. For example, a VPN could be used to securely connect the branch offices of an organization to a head office network through the public Internet. A VPN can also be used to interconnect two similar-type networks over a dissimilar middle network for example, two IPv6 networks over an IPv4 network. tl;dr: Basically, it shows Blizzard a fake IP from somewhere else in the world. How you can benefit from this If you get banned, you can claim that you were hacked. ~Steps~ Only use the VPN while botting. NEVER bot without the VPN. Make sure that your VPN actually effects WoW's IP. (HideMyIP only does if you pay $60 a year, not the $30 package.) When you get caught botting, be sure to include that you found items moved, gold missing, and your character logged out at different spots. ~~~~~ ~List of VPNs~ 1: Hotspot Shield (Free!) 2: HideMyIP 3: HideMyAss 4: nVPN These are most of the VPNs that I find work.
Do what he said and everytime you get a ban or a lock if you have an unmerged account, they will ask for a copy of your ID to unlock the account. So there are downsides on using these VPN's I do not recommed using Hidemyass VPN as the blizzard employees can detect it, and know if u are using it.
From my point of view don't even think about using a public known vpn service. It got me banned twice for exploiting the economy and the statement from blizz was that the ban was triggered because I was using a VPN service.
Because the staff don't want to risk pissing off blizzard anymore by endorsing ***s to bypass an Injunction, it doesn't help for their court cases as it makes them look like a non-proper professional business.
Yes. I've got 2 accounts banned because of it. In the mail they sent back to me, they said 'we close these accounts because services like *** are mostly related with gold selling or hacking'. Sorry for my bad english. Sytrus
