In the next beta, when making 1-60 profiles, we do have the option to use a forcedquestlist like this: Code: <ForcedQuestList> <Quest Id="287" Name="Frostmane Hold" /> <Quest Id="291" Name="The Reports" /> <Quest Id="319" Name="A Favor for Evershine" /> <Quest Id="315" Name="The Perfect Stout" /> </ForcedQuestList> However once you get over level 5 you get a lot of quests with npcs that run away on low health and thus aggro friends and get your toon killed. Even if we only do them when they are green, its still a pain and slows down your leveling compared to grinding spiders. But you do appear far less botlike. What do you guys think? Bot quests that include runners or no?
I vote yes, since at the higher levels many classes won't have an issue with the adds (provided there aren't 50+), or dots/pet/ranged dps/etc will be able to kill him before he can get them. I think the probability of it being neutral or beneficial is higher than it will be of it being negative. My 2c
Well thats one of the problems at the moment but I still think that for example the target mob for the quest is 20 yards away but in the path there are 3 mobs, the bot goes straight to the target mob therefore it agroes all in his path. I found myself dying more on those cases than mobs that flee. Also another thing that slows quest leveling is for example you are moving to a quest with Nav Mesh it choses the fastest path but it ends up agroing 1 mob and constantly stops to fight it, other times it passes by 1/2 mobs without stoping to fight them, but then when it has like 3/4/5 it stops to fight them all and die. Force quest sounds awesome, will the bot know where to pick the quests or there will be coords to pick it?
I vote yea, most cc's can handle adds and runners and for low levels there's increased mana an hp regen anyways.
Voted Yes. If we ALL skip the same quests, it can be troublesome and easy to figure out for blizzard (yeah i'm pretty paranoid). Let the people make sets of blacklisted quests (sets you can built in HB in Bot Settings like [ ] Skip Runners Quests - [ ] Skip Dungeons/Groups Quests).
Another thing, would be very nice to add some loot target detection since it mounts everytime before looting even if its in range, it looks so botish.
I vote yes, as often times these quests are on huge chains and usually the end has a nice reward, on top of more exp gained from more quests done. Also some quests open up other quests, so the more quests done the better IMO. We always have the option to just turn on a grind profile to get a level or 2 up, so for questing, the more the merrier. I'm really looking forward to testing out 1-60 profiles tailored for questing. Should be interesting to say the least. Hopefully the profiles can do some legs of a chain that the default quest engine ant do (like using an item on a mob before/after killing it, etc) Ive manually done some legs in a chain, and it opened up a whole slew of other quests that by default, the bot would have missed.
I personally think this is a good idea, as it would allow us to intergrate Guides to the level bot maybe?
Before I go ahead and vote I would like to ask whether or not the forced quest list will be a generic list at the top of the profile or within each sub profile?
I also thought that when quest was about to come out but most of the guides ask you to travel to other continents and hb can't do it (yet? )
Within each subprofile. The idea is to control what quests you do and what level you do them at. If there are no quests, your toon grinds.
This is how i assumed questing would work initially, instead of blacklisting quests you would whitelist combining this with thinhs like... Joana's leveling guide could put us to 60 in less then 24hours!
If the general vote will be Yes, I would like to suggest to implement some smarter ressurection logic regarding not to ress in the middle of the crowd but try and look for a "safer" spot. With the new navigation using the whole terrain shouldn't be an issue.
The looting is an issue, and the targetting, when bot spots a questobjective and runs for it no matter how many mobs in between.. But Im very impressed overall of how great the questing is going!! One thing I seem to have problems with, is when I use a highlvl toon in a zone, like a lvl 22 in Westfall. He wont target the mobs needed to kill for westfall stew, since they are too low lvl for him. And that excludes the questing for the loremaster ach.. But great work so far!!

It is a poll, but when this gets implemented then what I suggested needs adressing too. And if you disagree with that, then you clearly didn't experience this issue yet (dying 15+ times due to ressing inside the crowd of mobs over and over). I'm all for implementing to do quests with runners (hell, do as many quests as we can do for the appropriate level and I voted yes), but not sacrificing an hour of ressing to get out of that same area. It will be better if this get's implemented in either case, due to the fact that otherwise everyone is running the same quests on the same traject etc (which would be observed eventually). So in other words I'm motivating my vote and suggest a thing that needs adressing when this would go trough. If you only want people to dumb vote, close the thread for posting and just put up a poll. I'd like to see a forced quest list yeah. Much easier than blacklisting everything you dont need. Just have it auto blacklist every quest, and only accept the ones you tell it to.
