Users Requests (Bot additions / fixes / etc)

im not sure if there is a plugin for it allready but i would like the feature in settings and tools under harvest minerals and harvest herbs that you can check or uncheck what type of ore/herb it should pick up. when lvling a char i usely lvl up professions at the same time, but its kinda anoying in old world it mine eks 400 ores and i have to turn back vendoring all the time. most professions takes around 150 of each type of ore/herb and you are done using it.

 

I would say, the three most important things are the following.

1. Native flying. Really, NOT flying when questing slows things down a TON.

2. Proper AFK questing profiles, which do not rely on "killing between hotspots" to do the job. Proper questing zones must be selected, where quests are stacked in big packs and are not long or "chained". Such zones do exist and I must check further exactly what the order was if it's of any interest to the Buddy team. You can skip 3/4 of Outland, for example, and by questing only in a couple of zones, you can clear 60-70 in 4 hours total. Now it takes 12 hours or so for the bot to do it. Northrend and Classic are the same exact story. Pure Questing > Grinding any day.

3. Support for Profession leveling as your character levels. During the leveling process the bot collects tons of mats, which instead of selling or destroying, it can use to level up Cooking, First Aid, Tailoring and whatever other profs you have chosen, without forcing you to waste gold on acquiring the same mats you already destroyed earlier, from the AH.

4. Water support. Really, this shouldn't even be mentioned as it is part of the "AFK questing" point. Simply put, HB has been having trouble with water since forever. About time it gets fixed, especially if AFK IB is part of the plan, as Vash Jir provides a lot of starting gear to get into Cata regular dungeons.

5. Fully AFK IB. Just so that you can select it, set it to "random" and go do something else. Hell, a fully AFK IB can make questing completely obsolete, as dungeons are a better way to level and questing can be just supplementary for DPS classes.

6. FP's should be fixed, yes. Questing before you get 310% is faster when you use FP's instead of a flying mount due to the fact that Taxis fly at 450% speed and you fly at 250%.

7. Better documentation will always be of help to the community, but fixing the above mentioned things is really what 99% of the user base really cares about.

 

They already have this...choose GatherBuddy2 and go to Bot Config and the Node Selection Tab...uncheck what you do not want the bot to gather

 

I would say, we need a relog & switch character function. Thats in my opinion the most important things atm.
We have Arelog & HBRelog but its better when the Bot relog by itself to support the PB .

 

Sliffy, it's always better when an external program controls relogging, because often the bot will completely freeze, but HBRelog will keep it ticking and leveling even when the UI has become completely and totally unresponsive. I've had cases where the bot has been "frozen" for 12 hours but HBRelog does its magic and my character still moves and quests and kills stuff and levels up despite of that.

 

Maybe someone with IRL cooking-skills maxed out can start working on D?nerbuddy? I know I'd be a lifetimer to that as well *nomnom*

 

These are the main additions, that I think it should be added to the bot right now, aswell.

1. From level 60, it should fly everywhere, always, sometimes I see the bot using the flying mount but going ground.

2. This sucks, I leveled my Rogue from 1 to 60 with 20 minutes a level, I got to Outland, it took like 2 hours per level.

3. I don't know that much about coding, but it should be easy.
Imagine you have Linen Cloth > 100. If ie: Enginnering > 450, level First Aid.

4. Vash'jir would be a lot faster than Hyjal to level. Atleast, from my hand leveling experience, I die less and level faster in Vash'jir than Hyjal, so water support is a must.

5. I don't know what is IB. InstanceBuddy? If yes, they are at the moment, coding DungeonBuddy, which will be an upgrade to IB, which will do everything you said, I think.

6. Yes.

7. Yes.

An addition from me is,

Add a relog system like Pirox had, but better, a system like ARelog, but without using ARelog and with an easier setup.
ie: Open bot, open relog function, and add the following: Open WoW, join account, select char, start bot, start botting, and 5 minutes before the relog function is over, FORCEMAIL, because from what I see ARelog, doesn't do this, and it just farms and doesn't mail, this is a problem, because I want to use ARelog with Ben's Big Shuffle Collection profile, and it just doesn't work if the bots don't mail.

ie: Account 1, Farm 3 hours, if 175 minutes then FORCEMAIL goto Mailboxes, if <175 minutes then CONTINUEFARM, if 180 minutes then LOGOUT goto OTHERCHAR, and do the same.

 

Dont know if im right here to post, but i got a problem with HB!

When im Starting HB it tells me that HB would only be for the WoW version #15595 and then it tells me that my version is #15595...
I started both WoW and HB new, still no succes. I also reinstalled HB, still nothing changed...
hopin one of you could help me here...

the problem is when im trying search Primal Air with moteextractor it wont to take it but my HB blacklist it and past it pls fix this

 

when you are in SW and you want to go to uldum that the bot will take an portal instead of just flying to it

 

Perhaps an always on top option? So that the window is always in front of wow.

 

Yes I fully agree with you.

And for wsg, just try to win the middle because if you hold the middle you ususally win. So let the bot go to the gy and then just try to push for the opposit gy. Gy=GraveYard.

 

This. Add in some options about "move if more than X people there" for AB/EoTS/Gilneas and all is well.

 

The quest profile can't use the portal since it's not available yet.
If you have the portal you can write your profile to use the portal.

A working updated profile for "The Explore" title, all the ones i have tried is missing spots, making WoW chrash, and skipping alot of continent even tho you start the right spot. Only a northrend & an Outland one have i found that worked, missed 2 spots in Outland due to my PC lagged alot

 

A working updated Plug-in for the mote extractor, love this plug-in makes by far the most gold but too outdated, be cool if one could make a new one or simply update plz.

 

a option to close wow down after xx min/hour as standard for all bot types, under settings/tools.

example is grindbot, only option you have there is just to let it run for a eternity but would nice to have the option to shut it down after 3-4 hours of grinding the same area not to wake suspicition.

 

I imagine this is very well possible with our reloggers hbrelog&arelog already.
