Best shot is to run whatever game you're playing in Windowed Mode, just like WoW To run both HB and BF3 smooth you'd need quite a phat PC though, on my (rather old but overclocked to 3.5Ghz) Q6600 HB uses about 40% CPU, and WoW another 20% so not a whole lot left for heavy duty gaming
Hard to run another serious game next to wow. Especially when botting aswell. U need quite a pc to do so. I know mine ( 4.3 ghz Quadcore/ 1Gb Graph C./ 8 Gb mem ) has no problems doing so. You can also try, since theres no need to have hb maximized, to window Wow, make it as small as possible when botting. Try running your other game then.
What he means is the game is freezing up and not working when he is fullscreen in another game. For some reason I can bot 3xwow windows while running SC2 in fullscreen. Any other games have to be running "in a window". Many allow you to select a mode called "window fullscreen".
lol, i run 2 WoW bots, 1 diablo 3 bots, and i run BF3 at 60+ FPS, CoD MW3 is at like 90 FPS, and crysis 2 is at 60 when i have all those things running. the only thing you need to to is go in your video options and set it to windowed (fullscreen) and wow will still be able to be botted in the background. In case you are wondering about my PC specs i have Intel i7 2600k 3.5 ghz not overclocked. with liquid cooling 16 gb of ram Asus gtx 570 a 128gb SSD for WoW and D3 with windows.
I'm playing CS:S at the same time when I'm awake and bot, without problems at all, ill just have my bot at other screen and cs:s at the other screen and it moves quests etc etc smoothly, and i'm playing css with fullscreen
Perhaps that ha something to do with DirectX. CS:S can be played via OpenGL and does not influence DX.
If you are not able to play in Windowed Mode or your game does not support this kind of configuraiton, just install a VM or Virtual Box with WindowsXP Performance Edition, and bot from within the Box. My configuration is 3 virtual boxes with WindowsXP each running one WoW Client. It works perfect and also playing games like bf3 in fullscreen works fine on the "host".
As long as you don't go full screen, anything will work. DirectX games should be put in some kind of Windowed mode and then all will be just fine. I'm usually running 4*WoW+HB, 1*D3+DB and then doing whatever it is I want to do myself (SWTOR, Civ5, or just plain old Outlook/Work/VS)
if you're playing bf3 or other games it is useful to limit the fps of the game to a playable value... what i mean is, if you play bf3 and your cpu is at 100% maybe your bot/wow is a bit laggy and not behaving like normal. for example skipping nodes while farming etc. the tool i use for that is dxtory which allows me to limit the fps of the game i play to a certain amount -> play bf3 with 45 max fps -> cpu @ 40% -> enough power for wow + hb
Must be your computer. I play League of Legends all the time while botting on WoW. Just make sure WoW is set to windowed mode.
the reason for that is that league of legends normally doesn't use ALL of your cpu and gpu performance, but bf3 normally does
Put it in windowed mode? Im running HB constantly while I play a number of games all in windowed mode. wow and HB barely even use alot of utilization. x6 phenom - 8gb 6850
