[PB] Skinning 1-525

That's very strange because I used a few fresh lvl 85 without any reputation with Shattrath factions.

Just put your pet in passive or defensive mode.

 

It would realy be nice if there could be support for taking flight paths instead of flying there.

Im trying to use it to get my lvl 20 hunter up to date on his skinning but i cant find out where the bot wants to go.
Sadly he only stands there and does nothing.

I know the profile is intended for flying mounts but i realy like the pb system and sadly there is no way to force the bot to use ground mounts/flight paths.

 

My toon wont skin on here he just kills and moves on how do you get it to skin?

 

I will test the whole Profile, report all Issues I find.

LVL 20 - do that by hand, its not much. First quest your char to 85, then skill your professions. Its just faster and better for a bot.

 

Any tips for addon/plugin to get rid of the stuff it's looting in order to be able to skinn it?

 

Trying it out now, and so far it seems to be running pretty well. Using ShamWoW as the CC. I've noticed that it won't turn to face targets, but I'm not sure what that's a problem with; the CC, the bot, the bot base, or the PB profile. It eventually kills the target when it gets close enough, but if it's behind me, it won't turn to face it. To fix it, I just changed the pull type in ShamWoW from Auto to Body Pull.

Edit: Would also be cool if you could add a check to see if the user has a Gnomish Army Knife in their bags instead of just a skinning knife. GAK wowhead link (Item ID 40772): Gnomish Army Knife - Item - World of Warcraft

Edit 2: After training to go from 75 to 150 the bot flys from SW back out to skin, but instead gets stuck on the roof of the Inn and just sticks there until freed by hand, then after being freed by hand, it takes off and goes on to the current hotspot to start killing and skinning again.

Edit 3: While skinning I was looking over all bot, botbase, and CC options, and also checking plugins. Finally found out what was affecting my "facing" issue. Forgot I had movement turned off in ShamWoW since I use it for healing and always have movement turned off, lol. Turned movement back to auto and set pull type back to auto. Working wonderfully now. Still waiting to see if there are anymore hangups while flying to and from training.

Edit 4: Just reached my first full bags vendor run. I set it to mail everything to my alt in the options, and as soon as my bags were full, it went to the vendor and sold everything to the vendor. It didn't mail anything at all. It sold all my leahter, BoEs, potions, meats, picked herbs, and everyting else in my bag that was able to be sold. So, the options in the PB profile apparently aren't working right. I have it set to mail, and it sells to vendor. I'm glad I get one restore every 30 days per toon. I can get it all back, but now I'm afraid to run this anymore since it's not mailing.

Edit 5: I've been running this for quite a while now, and it's gotten me up to 350. Now, it's stuck in Shattrath in the Scryer area, trying to sell to Arcanist Xorith. This is after the bot has already sold to a neutral vendor in Lower City, and has also mailed off all items not sold. It then went up a spiral staircase and began trying to sell to the Scryer vendor I mentioned earlier. I'm hated by both Scryer and Aldor. Isn't there a neutral place it can be set to go for? I've stopped, closed, re-opened, and restarted the profile to see if it will continue skinning. After completely restarting HB it has now moved on to Negrand to continue skinning and seems to be working properly again.

 

Having some trouble with the farming profiles. Every time I try to enable them in PB they seem to skip to the one that will level me since I am only 375. I want it to farm Light Leather but whenever I select it, it automatically changes back to a profile that would level me and begins to go to Northrend.

 

I could be wrong, but I believe that the author said this is to level skinning, not for farming. I believe what you're trying to do with this is to farm, and it's not going to work like that. It was made to level skinning from 1 to 525 as quickly as possible, and it will either vendor, mail, or put all your leather on the AH.

Edit: Yes, after going back over the first page, the author states specifically that this is a leveling profile, and not a farming one. Author says this in response to someone asking if they can use this to farm certain types of leather.

Worked like a charm on my hunter! +rep. Took some hours (from 1 to 525, 8-10 hours) but it did the job. I found it useful as a lvl85 to get a CC that lets you dismiss your pet and wont try to summon it back, preventing your pet from one shotting the low lvl mobs and cause of that making you unable to loot/skin them. Good job!

 

Step 1: Load a grind bot profile
Step 2: Enable skinning mobs
Step 3: ????
Step 4: Profit

 

This Only works for Alliance? i need HORDE!!!!!!!!!

 

This works for Horde just perfect - so much better than everything else i have tried.

One little hint; change area @250 skinning, takes waaaaaaay to long grinding green mobs for 5 more points. Other than this, perfect work!

 

This profile sells all my leathers which i need for leatherworking even if i change settings to mail to my main.

 

This profile is amazing. I'd recommend deleting the sell whites from each of the farm profiles.

Just curious, why does the profile use mining level in its conditional statements?

The only thing that was confusing was it didn't fly to Outland at 300 (as the profile file names seem to indicate) but went at 315 skinning. I thought something was wrong, so I tried restarting and reloading, but it stays in Burning Steppes until 315.

You need to have a look at the "Protected Items.xml" file in the PB folder

 

Look im having little trouble with getting this to work Ive got the profile downloaded into Bots/PB/Profiles/Skinning and when i select this profile it does nothing just sits there :S Im having little trouble booting this thing up. I dont know what secondary bot to use in the config window and is the profile downloaded into the right area?
