I've decided to keep a log of my progress since I'm off to such a good start. I'll be botting to 85 using quests on a human paladin then I'll start farming and keeping track of how much gold I make If you have any tips for me, please feel free to share them! Day 1: I took advantage of a multi-buy offer and picked up all WoW Expansions up to Cataclysm for my new account. After familiarizing myself with some plugins and the questing profiles, I set my paladin off leveling! Questing in STV I picked up this beauty, looks like 280% flying is paid for, and some nice bags when I hit level cap. Day 2: I've been moderating my bot time for account security and checking it regularly. There have been a few hiccups so far: Running round in a loop, continuously running into walls, not defending in combat and getting killed etc. I've solved any problems by just stopping the bot and doing 5 mins of manual work. After that I fire up HB again and it works like a charm. I also sold the epic pet drop for just under 10k, very happy with that! About 1 day 10 hours play time and I'm about to hit lvl 49. I'll hopefully be in outland by tomorrow. Day 3: After exhausting all of the quests in the blasted lands and a fair bit of mob grinding, I was ready to head through the dark portal! I've been running into a few problems, mainly getting stuck on scenery or trying to walk through walls to get into houses but nothing that I can't fix by walking around manually. It's not been flawless, but so far Kick's questing profiles have been brilliant! I've not had any other world drops since the pet in STV, but the money that made me should last me until master flying. Without any exp boosts from heirlooms and the like (and no guild perks) I'm coming up to 2 days played time and fast approaching my first flying mount. Look out scourge, next stop: Northrend! Day 4: Not much to report today, levelling is going well and I'm about half way through outland. Thing have certainly picked up now that I can use flying mounts, but I have noticed that the script neglects to take advantage of flying over shorter distances. As of the following screenshot I'm just about to hit 2 days 15 hours /played. When I hit level 80 I'll probably limit my daily bot time to around 10 hours or less, and when the time comes to farm I'll be fragmenting my play time a lot more. Depending on how good the cash flow is I think I'll be doing mining for 5 to 8 hours a day, but nothing's set in stone yet. Because I'm on such a low population server running a gathering script over night may be a viable option. With leveling going so fast I can't help but be a little exited at the fast approaching money to be made at level cap. I'm aware that so close to the end of the expansion the money won't be phenomenal, but come MoP I'll be in the money (probably)! Note to self: Learn mining. Things have taken a sudden and unexpected turn for the worse. http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...5339-4-day-old-account-banned.html#post670221 One final edit: I now suspect the cd keys I bought were sold by some sort of middleman using stolen payment methods. Not wanting to touch the account with a 10ft pole, I've made a new one using battle.net digital purchases and have re-started.
Nice progress and blog. I am on my first bot-char either but I started from the lvl 48 4 days ago and he is at 66 right now. I end up running the bot only on my regular play times, no exposure for long-term runs and always keep the normal old routine. I'm leveling a feral druid, he is doing fine with Kicks profile and FPSware class config!
I'm on my 4th 85 in 10 days and his /played is 1day 8 hours. He's level 56. Kicks questing is where it's at.
