I'm new to this bot and I'm just wondering, can I buy the bot and start using leveling paths/profiles or whatever they are called? Or, do I need to get add-ons?
You don't need them, but they will make your botting life easier in some regards (and may make it harder in others). I'd recommend not using any until you are familiar with your CC and profiles, then starting to add things one by one.
You can just buy the bot and it's extremely easy to learn what things are. If you take literally a 5-10minute read of some of the guides located in the guides section; everything will become clear. -If all else fail.. there's a hugely supportive community to help you out and i will personally point you in the right direction profile/cc wise Good luck.
Perhaps I shouldn't say this for fear you try to incorporate this into your botting too soon. The add-ons that I use with Gatherbuddy are the following - Ace3, Auctioneer, Auction Profit, Bagnon, Postal. I will now explain what each does shortly in order that I listed them. Ace3 - Needed to run Postal or perhaps Bagnon, not sure what it does, but it is needed for one of those two add-ons. Auctioneer - Best add-on ever, allows you to scan the auction house and tells you what you should sell the items for, as well as posting all your items in your bags quickly and efficiently (is fairly confusing at first, but there is plenty of videos on how to use it on the net). Auction Profit - basically tells you how much your auctions on the auction house will get you if they all sell for bid or if they all sell for buyout on the Auctions tab of the AH. Bagnon - don't really need, but organizes your bags nicely, makes viewing all your items easilyer. (<--- lol easilyer) Postal - Just hit one button and it will take all items and money in your mailbox, so you don't have to shift click each one, saves alot of time. There are the only add-ons I use, I personally use Gatherbuddy a lot more than Honorbuddy, so if you are using HB more you will need to use other add-ons, but even if you are, all of those will still help you greatly. I am going to go ahead and wrap this up because this is way too much text for an American to read/write.
Haha, yeah... I hate paragraphs. =) Oh, and by the way, to answer your original question, you don't need add-ons. Their just nice and dandy to have.
