Cross-realming and it's impact on botting

I was just reading through this thread on the WoW forums and I'm very concerned about the future of gathering, pet farming, leveling, and basically everything else HB does for me.

From the looks of things many of the cross-realm zones are overpopulated, causing long wait times for nodes, boss mobs and rare pets. This could turn out to be a good thing for some people because it will likely drive up prices on certain items. However, it will also increase the amount of time required to farm/gather/level.

Anyone else see cross-realming having a HUGE impact on botting?

 

How is it any different then the 60 people that are normally in uldum on my server with majority of them being bots. The botters that go beyond sanity and bot 24/7 ruin it for legit and casual botters anyhow. It is already this bad on my server anyhow.

 

I thought that when one node gets mined another spawns. Other than the fact of being beaten to the node constantly we may not have a problem. But then again this may increase our chances of being banned for we are playing with a lot more people now

 

This is the only thing I could find about gathering, from Cross-Realm Zones Coming to Beta - World of Warcraft

They don't spawn immediately after being gathered now but they do respawn at a faster rate if more people are gathering. It doesn't say anything about adjusting the node respawn time any further. Has anyone been hand farming in a cross realm zone that could chime in?

Well it will have a nice impact if you're used to playing a very low populated server, because you usually get more nodes, & veins. But now that there will be competition it may make it harder all we can do now is wait and see.

I do think it will suck. Especially for those who farm all the old materials in the game, those zones will just never be overpopulated :>

Dont worry next expansion they will be merging servers together that way botters can have more fun fighting each other! YEYE!....WoW has gone to crap all ready where is my bot?

 

i tryed to farm some cloth legit in deepholm today, they had like 5 alliance from another server killing me and all the mobs... it was stupid

 

I don't care as long as I can roll in deep with my Druid and turn into a bear. Gold falls from the sky anyhow.
