Got it done! Just wanted to say that gb2 in hb is running like a dream as of about 11:20 central time. had download the dev version and went to open it and there was a new hb to download. I was like ooooooo....could it be???.....and it was. Farming TWHL now! TY to all the devs out there that made it work! Great job.

i downloaded the dev version and went through kick's howto and when i opened it recently i had a popup asking if i wanted to download the lastest version of it. i did. loaded an old twilight highlands profile under gb2 bot and pressed start.

I do believe that the level of whining about the release time of the bot is unrealistic and excessive. In MOST cases it wouldn't be appropriate to continue this level of whining. The problem here though, is that this isn't just a project, it's a product that was purchased by us. That said, when the sellers give buyers expectations it is to SOME extent the responsibility of the seller to meet those expectations. When those expectations are not met, they should be prepared for unhappy customers -- as it is both just and within their right to complain.
Incredible to watch all this flaming and crap talk of obviously teenage kids with a seriously angry at daddy syndrom. Why all this arguing, it dosent make the bot coming online faster, there is just no end to the argue it seems. I suggest trying to calm down and not get crazy over this, and just simply wait and look for the release when its ready. As i said before guys and girls, dont forget that one of the staff of this website gave a post warning about all this flaming and name callings a while ago, and told everyone that if it did continue, the ones responsible would get suspended accounts to either this forum or the bots. If you want to risk loosing your account for this service because of bad behaviour , its your call.
I guess I'm a little more patient then everyone else really upset about the bot not being ready yet. After going through both major ban waves with glider I would much rather have a bot that is working properly and not having problems with the tripwire but I do agree that if you set an expectation it is basic customer services to post some kind of update. I could care less if the bot takes a month to be up and running but the customer service here is lackluster. To all those complaining about it not being ready when posted think about all the release dates ever published by blizzard for any game or expansion it has ever made are they ever on time? Unless you understand programming and realize how much changed in the api of the game you have no understanding of how much work is going into this.
i agree with this and have said it much earlier in the day. i don't mind the bot not being updated yet but the lack of communication from the seller to the buyers is what bothers me and i believe most people. i code for games like minecraft and run a server that people pay to play on. When updates come i try and keep them up to date with the progress of the updates that way they have a better understanding of what is going on. If this service was free and open-sourced it would be different but we paid for the product and it would be nice to be given more frequent updates on the progress of it.
i think a better way to communicate would be by having a dev only thread where they only post the status of the bot. that way you dont have to surf through 95 pages of this crap

Certainly the developers need to take all the time they need to get the program working reliably and safely. The vast majority of us acknowledge that. But customers too have a right to expect the product they paid for to be available within a reasonable timeframe, and to be kept informed of progress. Commercial reality is that people will find alternatives if they don't think they are getting good service and value for their money. Would a 2-minute daily update be unreasonable? I did take the advice of another poster here and checked out Shadow Bot (which was fully functional hours after 5.0 landed) and which I have to say, though clearly less featured than HB, has its appeal. I will continue to use HB when it comes back online for the things its best at, but I will also continue to use SB. So if people absolutely can't wait for HB, then there is an option for them. Meantime, thanks developers for all that you are doing to get the programe up and going again.
Are you sure that the HB devs are not providing updates? You may want to consider looking a bit harder.
