Last week i sold my lvl 25 guild. The buyer had gold on another realm, where i was planning to transfer my main, so i made a lvl 1 char and he gave me 250k. Now i got a ingame mail from GM: We regret to inform you that we have unfortunately had to remove gold from your account as we have verified that this was originally acquired this through illegitmate means and needed to be reclaimed. We regret we are unable to reply to in-game mail. And all my gold is gone Any suggestions of what I can do?
it's legal to sell a guild if you own it and no one else is in it i dunno the regulations if there are toons in it other than you
@Soulbound13 yea its copy - paste of the GM message @Kickazz006 there where around 400 members in the guild
Ya that message is not from a GM idk how your gold went poof but a GM would never type like they have downs....thats someone that does not know english trying to type in english.
Them giving it too your level one was the problem....You never give over 2k gold to a level 1 from a whole different bnet account
make a ticket and explain it 2 them! cause you did something fully legit, your allowed to sell your guild however you want too and no matter how many people there are in your guild,
The way to do it. Invite buyer to guild. Receive payment, make guild leader - all legit. Giving the 250K to a guildless lvlv one on another realm is harder to explain. But send them a message and explain. Ingame items for ingame gold is not illegal.
I think they saw the level 1 gain 250k and thought you bought money. If they had checked the other realm and saw that you had given the same guy your guild they would understand. Just explain to them and they will see
This has also happened to me receiving 20k from a level one toon, then visiting my mail box to see the exact same message only the gold was never reclaimed so I was aloud to keep it, I also received a email to my Hotmail account referring me to the in game policies page on what not to do etc, in regards to gold buying or selling. It was very down-syndrome like indeed! Definitely from blizzard as I checked out the page source.
From what the GM wrote, I would have thought he meant that whoever bought your guild got their gold through "foul play" (maybe they scammed, maybe they bought gold, maybe they duped sand or whatever) and blizzard don't like it and removed it (even if at that time it had made its way to you). I would seek clarification from the GMs and if they removed it because the other guy did something wrong, ask for the guild to be returned.
Ya I agree with the person he got the gold from being involved in something shady. But they don't remove gold for duped items. They dont even removed duped items really. I use to roll with 2-3 bank tabs full of vials at a time and currently have over 200 cdcs, no issues. Also I don't believe they are allowed to return guilds under any circumstance currently. As it stands guild sales are an "unsupported transaction". Which basically means they don't ban you for it but they won't fix it for you either. If someone scams you for gold, IE you make him guild leader first or pay him and he doesn't make you gleader then he gets banned, the gold gets removed, and you original person does not get it refunded. If someone gets hacked and their guild is given to someone else, they don't get it back. So it looks like OP is SOL.
I am a bit worried about what you all say.! But i have made a ticket, where i am trying to explain whats going on. Now i "just" have to wait..
