Step 1: Please download the web installer from the link above and upload the install directory to your website usually under public_html or www or wwwroot Step 2: Direct your browser to http://<subdomain.yourdomain.tld>/install and follow the steps provided, currently only English Support Step 3: Direct your browser to http://<subdomain.yourdomain.tld> and verify you see the home page. Step 4: Download the plugin from the link above, and move all contents under <CoDeRs0880-WatchMyToon_Plugin-XXXXXX> folder into your HB directory. ENSURE that Newtonsoft.Json.dll is moved into the root of your HB directory. This file supports JSON data that I send to your website to allow updates. IF you do not trust my version it can be downloaded from Json.NET - James Newton-King be sure to download the .NET4.0 version. Step 5: Edit the file SQL_Connector.cs and locate string URI = "http://<subdomain.yourdomain.tld>/plugin.php"; and replace <subdomain.yourdomain.tld> with your domain. Save and Close Step 6: Start HonorBuddy and Load WatchMyToon, some updates may take place, once updates are completed please restart HonorBuddy Step 7: Installation of WatchMyToon complete, hopefully no problems occurred. there is no "install.php" in the archive ;-) its the normal index.php and i can't install it bceause of: git client is installed what is the git client? //Edit: Ok the Solution is to make a .htaccess file with in it ;-) now i got the SQL Problem: and your installation file only checks if the folder writeable...not if there a settings.php and is this fiel writeable.
There are 2 things here, 1 The git client is what downloads the website from the git repository. If you do not have git you cannot use the installer, and you will not get automatic updates. As for the sql problem, you entered the data wrong from what I can tell you did not include a password. As for the check yes, the file checks if it is write able and then when the sql problem goes away and your credentials are correct it will automatically create a settings.php file based on the information you provide. This Solution does work, I tested it just before the upload and almost everything went without a hitch. Problem was with the plugin. Working on a patch. EDIT Looked into the .htaccess file, that is correct if your host restrict shell_exec commands however ONLY 1 of the items in your list should be used, preferably the one that corresponds to your php version. I'm getting a problem with git on the webhost a choosed, this can be fixed or i have to look for another webhost? if i have to can you suggest some?
I have just checked it, It is sending the correct data to the php file on the server but for some reason your server is ignoring that and using w00e0b81 as the username as you can see in the message. Does this username mean anything to you? I would like to look at the SQLfunctions.php file to see if your copy was corrupted or something weird happened to do. Please let me know.
As you can see above there is a PHP Error message. It says that Shell_Exec is disabled for security reasons. This php function is required to use GIT which is what i chose to use for auto updates. I would recommend another webhost one with less restrictions. I am in the process of looking up a few free webhosts to put on the first post. Let me know if there are any other questions.

Not always his host may also block .htaccess but he could try . I have been on free hosts that have banners the banners can be blocked by a .htaccess so they disable them
Are there any NOOB friendly tutorials? I have no experience with this stuff. Anyone mind helping me setup?
I will be recording a step by step video tonight with a preferred web host. The web host is not free, however I am in talks to get a WatchMyToon promo code for a discount to FREE. The host will also be providing subdomains for my watchmytoon.com domain so you can have <name>.watchmytoon.com. I will also be recording a demo of the plugin in action comparing updates between the wow interface, HB interface and the website. Currently when attacking you can monitor health and power fluctuations every 3 seconds it looks pretty cool.
I would like to make the following statement. I understand that not everyone knows anything about websites or how to use this plugin, but what I would like to make a note of is that not every web host is the same and creating a fully dynamic installer / auto updater / plugin can be very complicated. This is why I have had many thoughts like many other dev's to created this as a hosted service. I have not made any major plans to do this but it would solve a lot of headaches for me and the users of HB. Please be patience with me for help as this is not my JOB I originally helped out CodeBase to try and bring this plugin to a new level for my own use while also releasing it to the public.
