I have been using HB for a while now with no problems. I have used stable and beta releases and even piddled around with questing beta. I have never had any issues that did not make perfect sense to me until yesterday. I was botting from work on my netbook and when I went home I moved my character to a different zone and when I started up HB, loaded a new profile, and hit start...nothing happened. HB loaded as normal, it knew where I was and what level I was. It offered no errors and just stands idle. it will engage and kill any mob that attacks me but it will not path and its hit or miss with whether it self buffs very slowly between spells or does not self buff at all. I am a shadow priest default cc. I have cleared my cache and reinstalled latest stable HB with no luck. I am about to reinstall WoW but for no reason other than I have no other ideas at this point. Any suggestions?
Sounds like HB is downloading the mesh's for the area, when i first started it took a little bit to download and then start moving, so my assumption is that it needs to download the meshes.
it would tell me in nav log that it is downloading a mesh and it is not. It is an area which I have run before and I have tried using both my old mesh directory as well as creating a new one.
Here is a fresh install of HB, using a profile I know works, my character was unbuffed entirely and the only thing HB did was self-buff and drink, it did nothing after that and I waited plenty.
interesting, when I closed WoW and HB after I got back from my shower there was a new error as HB crashed saying "Process must have frozen or gotten out of sync; InjectionFinishedEvent was never fired. - From: Honorbuddy seems my original diagnosis was spot on. Fix?
Mate. I had exactly the same problem earlier today. Here's what you have to do: Run WoW as an Administrator, and run it in Windowed Mode. Run HonorBuddy as an Administrator. This should do the work. Hope it works! Best Regards.
Hmm. Well, yeah. It might be the CC. Have you made any custom changes in it? Have you tried re-download the CC?
its the default cc that comes with 1.9.2.5, i suppose I could try downloading epriest from the thread and installing it but i honestly cannot see that being the issue because now i get the same glitch with hb2 beta as well, i made no changes to my system to induce this error but I DID bot from another system/IP the same day (without problems) although I cant see that as being related. I will reinstall cc and post results
same with all priest CC's on this site, its definitely not injecting fully, I'm surprised it's self-buffing actually. Even more surprising is that it WILL fight if I walk my character around manually or stand in a hotspot...again my choice of CC does not matter nor does not my choice of profile. Profiles I KNOW work with CC's I KNOW work...all suddently not working as intended. Bot will only fight, does not loot...I'm sure that is relevant somehow. No difference using HB1 or 2. I would love for a dev to work with me on this I will supply hijackthis log, etc and tip via paypal for above and beyond customer service.
It will path when I am dead, it will locate corpse, rez, buff, and fight as normal BUT WILL NOT PATH still, the nav log stays empty...but only after I toggled my autorun key after dying and it hickupped a big burst of lag and proceeded to start the corpse run.
still unable to use a service which I have paid for...starting to reconsider how much noise I make about this. I do not appreciate lack of support. edit, fixed myself, dont feel like sharing the solution either, gg.
