Fresh install of Windows XP today, fully patched and updated
      Fresh install of WoW
      Fresh install of HB
      Using DX9 in Windowed mode
      Ran BuddyPrequisitesWizard multiple times
No other programs except Chrome installed (AV, firewall, etc)

Started Wow.exe (32-bit version) by right clicking, run as admin
Logged in to toon, ran around a bit
Started HB.exe by right clicking, run as admin

HB crashes shortly after logging in. Error log below:

DX11 is not available for Windows XP. I'll try installing Vista I guess and see if that fixes it.

Blew away XP and tried again with Vista, you are right. What a total pile of crap.

Reinstalled a fresh XP, set everything up again from scratch, still crashing with the same error. If you want I can send you a VM that reproduces the error.

      Windows 7? Yuck. :)

I have a Macbook Pro with VirtualBox. I guess I'll give VMware a shot...
