I want to farm leather on low level mobs. What is the best way to do this? I tried using gatherbuddy with a Elwynn Forest profile and set it to kill between hotspots and loot mobs, but it just runs by everything and herbs. Nothing attacks because my level is too high for them to care. Such a simple thing and I'm sure I'm missing the obvious... thanks for your help! Edit - I hope I don't sound like a total noob, I'm just half a noob. I've used GB many times before an Kick's amaaaaazing questing profiles. This is just the first time I've tried skinning... Not sure if I'm doing it wrong or if it's because of all the stuff that's being worked on right now. Thanks!
gatherbuddy2 cant be used for skinning. skinning requires grindbot. differences: gatherbuddy 2 flies between hotspots, and collects things (gathering) girndbot also circles between hotspots, but has the abilty to grind mobs. these grinded mobs can be skinned. you can use your elwynn forrest profile, but you have to change it a little. open the profile with notepad or a similar programm, and add a faction tag above the hotspots tag. it should look like this: . . . <Mailbox/vendor/otherstuff> <Factions>1 2 3 4 </Factions> <Hotspots> . . . </Hotspots> thats not a nice profile, cos factions should be written in grind area, but it'll work how to get the faction numbers... all mobs have a faction id. beasts different than dragonkin. beast1 different than beast 2. you can find this id's, if you open the developer tools from HB main window. target a mob, refrecsh the info, and you will get the faction id.
Thank you sooo much for your help! I modified my gathering profile for grinding and now it's stopping to kill everything it sees. One new issue though... because of the new aoe loot system, it doesn't loot until after it's killed a few mobs and then only skins the last mob (the one it loots directly)... is there any way to change that?
