You no longer need it, just create a empty folder somewhere and point HB to it. Hb will download meshes automatically. Morga
Hi Morga, honestly its great HB dl's the maps when needed but as it takes forever for HB to load some times due to this i'd much prefer a link i could dl the entire pack from. I can see HB checking to see if its the newest map available and dl a new one if needed but id dont see why there isnt an option to dl them all at once. Im quite happy to use the bandwidth to do it as currently if im in a rush to leave the house in the morning i have to wait for any new meshes to dl to make sure the bot doesnt crash for some reason. As im swapping and chaning alot atm regarding profiles i can be waiting for quite some time before HB dl's the full mesh and generates a path for where my bot is heading.
There may be in the future, but they are updated too frequently at the moment to publish a new package each time they are updated.
I'm willing to upload my mesh folder to my server, but I can't post the link here. If you are interested just let me know and I'll get it uploaded, but maybe Ski or one of the other guys are willing to bring back the original pack for download. Morga
It only actually downloads the mesh files it needs. And that is maybe ~5 minutes for every area you are in. How long does it take per area? A day atleast? 5 minutes for a day of grinding. Why can't you just wait for the download?
No, actually it's a long time you need to wait because downloading the whole package takes a lot longer than downloading the few single mesh files you need.
Incorrect. It takes a long time to download, it does not mean it's a long time I am waiting. For example, right now I'm not botting because I've botted for too long within the past 24 hours, so I could be doing it now. Therefore I am not "waiting" for it before I can start botting again, as I would be spending that time idle.
First off, please get your definitions straight. I have not said anything that was incorrect from a factual point, only from your own point of view. Secondly, it is not our problem. We do not have to handle cases where you have botted for too long, where your cat got run over or where your girlfriend left you. You use our software on our terms, and are free to give your opinions and suggestions. But we will not add things that 0.5% of the community will benefit from; the fact is that the majority of the community finds the fully automatic on-demand system much easier and better than a manual download.
I never suggested abolishing it, I suggested providing some kind of link that allows all meshes to be downloaded in one go. You can't honestly argue that's hard to do, or that it'll take hours to do either.
In the end it will take many hours because the meshes update so frequently, so yes, I CAN argue that it will take long to do.
Considering the majority of the meshes are fine and I see no reason why they would be changed, this would still be viable as you would be saving time in the long run by having files ready, while the ones that are updated can be downloaded using the automatic download feature.
Yes, but we do not like to hand out redundant data and that will happen more and more as more and more meshes become updated. Also, full remeshes happen at times.
And as such, you can update the "base archive" after maybe, say, a month? 2 months? It doesn't have to be updated daily, but it can't be too hard to keep it relatively up to date.
The problem here is that you are making a problem out of something that isn't a problem. In the end, the automatic download is only a problem for those who can not wait 5 minutes one time. The time wasted by me is much more than 5 minutes by having an archive that I also need to take care of and that depends on the meshes, which I also need to take care of and update. It's like if you didn't want to update the bot manually because you couldn't be arsed opening an internet browser and going to this site.
What I mean is that you are giving bad reasons for something; your case is not well-argued. Your reason for wanting a ~15 minute download is that you do not want to wait 5 minutes (exaggerated) once everytime you change area. Let me give you another example; you want a bot that does everything for you but you want to tell it how to do it. What was the point in the first case?
