Thats just ignorant. Just because you know better does not mean the rest of the population does.
But you making that statement basically means you don't know jack.

I've had my AV stop and delete many files before they ever came near my computer.

AV is the best defense for the "average person" regardless of what you have to say about it.

Oh. and as someone previously stated, if AV is slowing down your computer, you might want to think about an upgrade.

 

Never had antivirus never will, I install it to check my PC but nothing out of the ordinary ever pops up you just have to be careful.
