How to get unbanned (KINDA) October 2012 - Current Ban Splash

See what I did there.. a ban "splash" not a wave >_> IT IS SO CLEVER
BUT SRSLY... THERE IS NO BAN WAVE STFU
Everyone is freaking out over their acc's being banned for abuse of the economy or other things. Calm the hell down and put in an appeal. I have been botting 24/7 and talk on my bot in gchat a bit everyday using buddycon so I can "prove" that I was actually playing even though it is bullshit.

I have managed to get up 1000+ auctions on a couple days and have been making masses of gold and storing it in a gbank while pushing the gold through AH items like spectral tigers ect splitting up the gold sending it through unsuspecting players and making it a hell of a job for blizzard to figure out where the gold is going and coming from just because I am paranoid.

I got a perm ban for abuse of the economy and I made a post about it here, I put in an appeal about 8 hrs after the ban and I got a long apology from blizzard. So I figured I might try and give you all some info on what I find works with appeals.

1. Don't get mad at blizzard, they did something terrible to you but you need to come back to them like a dog with its tail between its legs confused.

2. Come up with a good story as to why you wanted to get gold or why you were farming herbs, don't come up with some crazy elaborate story about every little thing you did that you think they know about or have caught you on during investigation. Say you are getting ready for raiding with your guild and you need upwards of 300k just to afford insane flask costs boe's ect ect.

3. You put alot of money into this game and you have put alot of money into blizzard products RECENTLY ... I doubt very much they actually checked into this but this was part of their long apology since I am a paying "valued customer"

4. Do you have ANY addons or plugins that perform ANY human action that is not normally thought of when mentioning botting. Autogratz addon? Welcome addon? Guild invite addon? Poweauras sending say messages? Gladius sending msgs even. Mention around what time they were happening and say "I was at my comp blah blah blah" just try and push the fact that at certain times you were doing things like that.

5. DO NOT read num 4 and send them "I KNOW FOR A FUCKING FACT THAT BOTS CANNOT DURP DURP DURP AND THIS THAT THIS THAT" ... they will instantly think... hey wait a second... how do you know that!

6. USE GOOD ENGLISH... lets be honest here if you are from EU and botting on a US realm or are from another area and have poor english skills get a friend to type what you want said out. I hate to be racist / languageist (lulz) but blizzard really doesn't like improper english in tickets ect. I used to type like a durp in my gm tickets and the second I started using proper english and started putting some time into these my tickets were answered faster and I had a great time with GM's ect.

7. Near the end of the ticket, let them know that you think this is an honest mistake and you have heard of it happening before and you completely trust them to correct the issue because you know you are in the clear.

8. Try to end it off with "thanks in advance" or something better then that I have found this helps since you are just putting more trust in them.

9. Have some social skills, lying and social engineering takes some skill when it comes to trying to get your way with a massive company. If you can actually get them on the phone (I cant they are always full for me) make sure your confident and not scared to talk to the blizz rep. People offer services to get you unbanned and alot of the times they work just because they are good at talking to people.

10. Just a side note, blizzards bans in this game are a joke compared to others. You have the chance to talk to a real rep and explain your situation and they are limited by the same things you are. They can get emotionally involved in a story even.

LET US KNOW HOW YOUR APPEALS WENT! - DON'T COPY PASTE EXACTLY WHAT YOU SENT THEM .... we don't need blizzard getting 1000 of the exact same copy paste appeals

Yea but it has to be believable kinda like a mix between a snorlax who doesn't give a shit and a jigglypuff who is absolutely clueless as to what is going on

 

i phone one of them today since i got permanet banned ,told them how i was working my ass to farm for my guild and flask on the phone then he went to know why he said i may be botting , i said i didnt do that kind of stuff then i told him that i was useing a tunnel service and got banned in the past then he started to say that i might have gotten hacked from that tunnel service which made the bullshit story work and got unbanned within the hour .

 

at 1pm today i appeal my banned bot account and now i went to my mail and saw this:

was my first ban EVER ^^ in about 2 years of heavy botting but was just a fake to scare me xD

 

I sent a request to Blizzard about one account.
They changed the perm ban to 72h ban.
That's great !

 

How do you send requests from perma-banned accounts?

I can't even log in (account closed) to create a ticket.

 

Well, I made a request when I wasn't logged. Then when I choose a request for ban, there was the popup to log in. I logged, on the page, there was somethin like :
Account : WoW1
Permanent ban
Then, you can choose wich account you want to unban, then write the message.


That's strange if you can't login on your battle net account. My battlenet account aren't close, only the wow account on it.

 

That is great ^_^ so far since I got my perm ban completely removed (no 72 hr reduction) on my bot acc I have been botting NON STOP as close to 24/7 as I can and blizz has left me alone so far. I have alot of things setup that make me seem alot more human and can "prove" I was at the computer ect ect. I wonder if blizzard ever checks into the accs and what they do after they unban them like if you are banned for botting for 2 yrs straight or something insane and then you NEVER herb again if they would get their jimmies rustled lol

 

I played dumb when I got banned earlier this year, it really is the way to go. I was just like, "I have no idea what's going on. "

 

It doesn't really matter what you write as long as you give them a chance to unban you. The more details you give, the more reason you give them to look into your account and you really don't want them to do it.

 

Blizzard are moneyhorny as fuck, if you get a permban, just appeal it and you'll get a 72h suspension for sure. I was botting pretty much 24/7 when MoP came, sometimes flooding AH with 400+ auctions/day and when blizz finally permbanned me, I just appealed to it and they changed it to a 72h suspension.

 

I have never had a perm ban turn into a 72hr they just completely remove it and apologize.

The AH prices have crashed on high pop servers with hundreds of bots now so the income is alot less but auctions are selling within 5m of ea other.

And thanks to the massive amount of botters on my server I can now level all my professions up extremely cheap!

 

Calling them is usually the best bet - if you are confident on the phone, that goes a long way. Basically just be a bullshit artist.

Blizz: "Ok yes, I can see that a ban was placed on your account because of suspicious activity, and the use of a third party program"
Me: "What do you mean third party program? Is this because of Pingzapper? The program I use to lower my ms in game?" *sweet, innocent*
Blizz: "That shouldn't have caused any issue. But tell me, where you doing a lot of herbing in the last few days?"
(there is your hint, he's saying you've been botting for herbs - learn to read them a little)
Me: "Yes I have, in Twilight Highlands actually. I needed the Twilight Jasmine up there for the Draconic Mind pots I was going to make to stock up for Realm First attempts. Figured every little bit will help, you know?"
Blizz: "Ah ok, it looks like you were there for a few hours which has probably flagged your account for botting"
Me: "I'm sorry, botting?"
Blizz: "Yes, where people use a third party program to do things for them, like collecting herbs and ore"
Me: "Oh ok, but no, I was definitely farming by hand. I'm lucky I have an active, chatty guild to keep me entertained on guild chat and vent while I farm for things"
Blizz: "That's understandable. The next time you go farming though, make sure you mix it up a little bit and don't follow the same path all the time, try to not look like a bot to avoid being put under suspicion ok?"
Me: "Will do, thank you for the advice! You tend to learn where the good respawns are and follow that general area, but I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thank you"
Blizz: "You're most welcome. Unfortunately I can't actually unban your account, but if you can submit an in-game ticket, the in game GM's will take a look at it for you"
Me: "Yep, I've put the ticket in, just thought I'd call in to see what had happened as I was a bit lost to the "abuse of the economy" comment in the ban notice"
Blizz: "That's no problem at all. I'll put a note on your account as well so the GM can see what we've talked about and what I've seen on your account as well"
Me: "Thank you very much Justin"
Blizz: "You're most welcome, thank you for being so accommodating"

See? "for being so accommodating" - most people call up & abuse the absolute crap out of them, just be nice, be a little "oh why was I banned?" confused and most of all, be nice! Remember your rep's name, always say, "Thank you *name*" - little things that go a long way.
