How easy is this exactly? Ive just turned 18 and have been botting wow since i was 14. Back in the MMOGlider day's. I know the game up and down. Iv'e had 4 account's botting at once, it paid for my cig's, gaming computer, other thing's i diden't need. So, im sure there are people here who know more. Is it really as easy, as buying 20 account's, and praying you don't get hit fast with a ban? I mean, is that really it? Gatherbuddy, 20 account's 24/7, and a prayer a night? Nothing ever seem's to be as easy as it sound's. So, im just curious, work at walmart, or go all or nothing on botting? Your two cent's will be appreciated.

its not impossible, but people like you (aint hating here, its feedback..)
tend to think that its easy to sell gold, getting gold isn't an issue..
even with 3 accounts botting 24/7 i make about 200 bucks a day, which isnt alot, but i don't need to do anything for them..

the main issue i met when i started botting for gold --> money was who to sell it to :p

find buyers first, friends or something.. they're ussualy the best..
and yes, most of the time its about avoiding getting banned, but then again..
im running those 3 accs 24/7 (litteraly) then i run another 5 accs with breaks..

my advice would be for you to get a job, sitting at home playing games is fun and all..
but you turn into a asocial creepy dude, thats most likely going to die at a age of 40, due to being fat as heck..
then they need a lift to get you out and stuff.. aint pretty :S

Best thing about bots is that you can let them run at your computer at home AND work at wall mart at the same time.

I guess i should clear it up, i got a job, i work at Walmart, also, people were saying the issue is finding people to sell to. Would selling to companies be a bad idea? Yea it's not as much money, but poof, never a problem selling it? It's what iv'e been doing for year's. I'm just really debating if it's as easy as multiplying my botting farm. Technically, if i multiply what i'm doing now, i should be all good, it's just never that easy for some reason. Anywhoo, thank's for all the responses! I got the money to buy 15 account's or so, question is, do i have the balls! haha

This is why this is so funny! $1400 per week, but keep your job at Walmart to make some real money. :) Also, $1400 per week selling only to friends? That's hilarious! Maybe all of his friends are drug dealers and have lots of cash to throw away on a game. :)

Someone is getting jerked around. I know there is money in this, but it's more like $200 to $500 per week if you are a really good amatuer coder. Perhaps $1400 per week running more than 30 bots 24/7 and have lots of connections for buyers.

I say BULLSHIT on this thread! :)

Atm, gold prices, even selling to the Chinese dudes is up for one reason only... MoP xpac. so yes one bot can probably easily do 20-40kg a day, which = good profit. As with every single other xpac and the history of gold selling, prices will fall. When this happens you will require more and more bots to keep the profits. The .80 cents are roughly what you get by selling to these websites will easily drop to around .005 cents per K. If you want to profit, take advantage and profit now while you can, you will lose your accounts... its not a IF here, it will happen guaranteed. Prepare to take those gold selling profits and set it aside for new accounts to either buy with a 90 already on it, or CD keys to level new ones. If you level new ones take into account the time it will take to get from 1-90 and get your gathering professions up. There is a lot more that goes in to this, this is just a tad of what to expect.

I am just using the examples from the gold buying sites, because this is where you will most likely start to sell... lets face it just starting out selling, it is somewhat difficult to find consistent private gold buyers. Consistency is key here, why sell to private if your private buyer only buys 20k a month... you need to either get a larger client base or a few "good" clients that will buy large amounts on a regular basis.

      Anyways, good luck you.

I personally don't know anyone who makes more than $20-$40 per week selling gold. I have heard stories of amateurs making $200 to $500 per week, and some professionals making $1400 per week. It may all be BS as far as I know, but they seemed to know what they were talking about. I have no doubt that there is money in the market if it is worked properly but most guys who know how to work the WoW gold market are after bigger fish than WoW gold. :) If they want to work their computer every moment of every day, they are probably playing the stock market and not a game currency.

There is definitely a LOT OF MONEY in the online currency market!

I just searched the internet for some facts on this, and discovered:

In 2009 the global market for online gaming currency was valued at around $3 billion annually.
Converting the Virtual Economy into Development Potential | infoDev.org

There are 100,000 full time gold farmers in China! That's 100,000 people in China that make a living off of farming for online currency!!!
BARBOZA, DAVID. "Ogre to Slay? Outsource It to Chinese". nytimes.com, December 9, 2005

Most gold buyers come from rich developed countries, and they buy gold because they wish to save their playing time for more enjoyable things than grinding for currency. Most gold sellers come from under developed or developing countries where they are paid low wages to perform the menial task of grinding for online currency.
"Ogre to Slay? Outsource It to Chinese" nytimes.com, December 9, 2005

The World Bank considers online game currency farming to be a potential tool for socioeconomic development for people in third world nations.
      "Fair Trade Gold" arstechnica.com

In the United States the US Congress has been considering taxing virtual currency ever since 2008.

Like has been stated over and over.... Find buyers. I get approx $2/k for most sales. I am in a large Guild and very well known on the server. I sell mainly to guildmates so, the trading isn't as suspicious. so, they pay for the "Security" of buying from someone that is a regular trader on the server. I make about $500/week doing this, it isn't too much, but I do have a regular job. ;-)

Don't quit your day job, sure you may make a (crappy) living. But the market is to volatile, it isnt a long term career. And at the end you would have been surviving on beans and have a huge gap in your resume. Stick with normal work and bot on the side for some extra income.
