seriously, you say some cheating is fine (it has to be because you designed a healbot) but then, you also say you cant heal heroics with it? I play a ret pally right now - but if I ever switch to holy, or off spec holy, this will come in handy, I went ahead and got a copy. Would you rather have a healbot healing your heroic, than a holy paladin newb that dont know what he's doing? at least with the first one you know it wont be the healers fault if the group wipes.
botting if done unobtrusively is fine, but when you get someone tossing a bot into pits of saron, or halls of reflections thats when you start hurting players who are trying hard to accomplish something while your sleeping. at least if a human is there you can try and teach him, or her what to do. and it will be the healers fault if the tech isnt setup correctly, and thats bound to happen if it becomes "Popular" to healbot random heroics for emblems that the rest of your party is working their asses off to farm.
I'd never run it if I wasn't able to sit there and watch it of course, but, it's nice to be able to see it running random heroics on one screen while I read the forums in the other. I have no intention of running it all night when I was sleeping, god if somthing went wrong, talk about the ban hammer, im alllllllllllllllllllllll for you having to put the tank's name in each time - so that you cant afk it all night, I agree - that is wrong.
Actually. When I used GotWood as my healer to farm HC's (manually played the tank) with. He outperformed the marjority of the healers out there. Altho I see your PoV. I just dont agree since imho; 90% of the playerbase is utterly useless and I rather play with a CC healer that I configure myself then a random healer. Edit: And that is why I am looking forward to test this alot.
I wish I could just get HB to follow me around now nonstop healing me along the way while I kill. Recruit a Friend would be 10X easier!
Well then! How do I get it to follow? I wanna make sure it's got the features before I go trying it out.
ether turn on no movement, and set it manualy /follow or change the options, and type in the name of the person you want it to follow, make sure you select a blank profile to stop it from running around.
I was excited to start using this in Outlands for my RAF accounts that have just hit 60, but I got the following error when trying to load it up: Code: Could not compile CC from C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop\WoW\Healbot for RAF\CustomClasses\WhiteMage! File: WhiteMageConfig.cs Line: 4 Error: The type or namespace name 'Data' does not exist in the namespace 'System' (are you missing an assembly reference?) I have also included the log for you, but I don't think that it will be very helpful. I have unzipped the file into the Custom Classes folder and just tried to open it up. I have no issues with any other CC's at this time. XtO
Not working properly at all on my shaman, Trying it out with my GF and set her as Tank and party leader. She pulls a couple of mobs and when she gets below 90% it heals as supposed to, but when my GF's char hits 100% it does not heal untill weir out of combat. Also some sorts of Totem useage would be awesome and as a Tank buff Earth Shield isn't working either. If you want a log of it just tell me how to grab a log and i'll post it Hope i'm just doing something wrong or this is an easy fix as i really love the concept of this.
I don't want to be taking sides in this, but with this logic you're also ruining it for other players in battlegrounds. They're trying hard to win, but with a healbot (or any other class botting pvp) it's just running around like a headless chicken and fighting mid-field or healing others fighting mid-field and isn't really helpful in the progress of winning. Bots do ruin it for everyone else who is working their asses off to farm.
