So i have my two computers one of them is my main computer which i use my main account on and the other one is purely for the my botting account. My question is i want my main account to be as safe as possible so their for would using a lowerping type program on my botting pc make it a different IP?
Please. Learn. To. Use. More. Full. Stops. When. You. Write. Paragraphs. Going via lowerping would indeed change the IP blizzard sees.
Ah i see. so their for using one of those programs to use a different ip address would pretty much protect my main account as long as i don't associate them in game?
They can always nab you with MAC address I guess? Please refer to this thread: http://www.buddyforum.de/showthread.php?6595-lack-of-knowledge-IP-Address-Lesson-II
This is true, but they rarely do MAC attacks or IP Bans so i doubt you should do it anyway, but it cant hurt to be safer?
don't spend a thought on this... Why should they ban a main account when you never botted or tradet with the bot or whatever? When a gm asks.. tell them you've got a friend, named "insert your fake name of your bot account here" who plays wow in the room next door. In the same flat or house.. ..on the same internet line
It's been known many a time for main accounts to be banned and the botted account not banned, even though the main account has never been open while the bot is. Granted, an appeal probably wouldn't be too hard.
I may be mistaken, but i am pretty sure you can change your MAC address to whatever you want, atleast in linux!
