Hello, I wanted to ask if there was anything I was doing wrong while trying to use honorbuddy. I am a relatively new user and have found that HB works great for farming fish and herbs etc and it is worth every penny just for that however seems to fall short as a product for levelling characters on its own. I have done a lot of digging and found plenty of people on here claiming a 99% AFK 1-85 session however I find that hard to believe, however it must be true so I must be doing something wrong at my end? normally I will set the bot going before I go to bed or before I go to work and I will come back to it either dead and logged out, dead, running into a wall or stood there getting attacked by mobs. so I have broken down my problems... Combat: a lot of the time my toon will move to a hotspot and then stand there doing nothing and get attacked by mobs until he dies or until I manually attack the mob for him. I tried to fix this by using a couple of different CC's or routines as they are now called. Singular was all well and good however doesn't use victory rush, and still would just stand there. I tried CLU however that doesn't use gift of the naruu and still stood there also. My favourite one is the DWCC as it uses both victory rush and gift of the naruu however still just stands there sometimes. I have tried 3 different combat routines that all do the same thing every now and then. Don't get me wrong, when it works it works very well however if I go to work and it happens 5 minutes after I go out the door that is a whole days levelling wasted. Movement: I don't know if it is because of the bigger draenei model or something else but he gets snagged and stuck on every fence post, doorway and mailbox he can find. This forces him to do that move-backwards-strafe-left-move-forwards-again thing that often leaves him stuck in the same position. And when I mean it gets snagged on everything, I mean EVERYTHING. I must be doing something wrong here. Also come back to it dead at the character selection screen a lot, when I enter the game and type /played it will often be at least 4 hours on level (60-65 at 50% generally) If he is on a flying mount and needs to go inside a doorway he will often try to fly through the door however not move close enough to the floor to dismount and just constantly try and fly into the door frame. Too many times I have come back to it trying to run up a cliff or enter a house through the wall rather than the door. General standing still and not doing anything. Archeology Buddy Always 100% gets stuck in the big trees in hinterlands and duskwood if flying to/from a digsite Setup Using Kick's profiles updated and downloaded via SVN (a big thank you to him as he obviously puts in a lot of time and effort) Re-installed up to date version of HB Followed any and all instructions for starting Combat routines and Profiles Unfortunately I stop and start HB so many times to get it working/going I am not sure which logs are appropriate as I am sure a lot of the information I am giving you is useless without a log to fix it and for that I apologise, I will try and get some when it happens. Is there anything blindingly obvious I need to do/try?
Hey, You should really monitor you bot more. Those quest profiles are not 100% AKF. The 1st 1 or 2 times you level with them I highly suggest you watch it 100% so you know when/where the profiles needs assistance. I level about 5 toons a week using Kick's profiles - but I now know when/where to be ready to assist the bot. For me the profiles are now like 90-95% afk. The way you are botting is how folks get banned. You are very subject to being reported. Yes, Draenei (Tauren also for Horde) get stuck a lot. IMHO, never use this class to afk quest level. The other issues can mostly be related to your cc, not looting, not engaging in combat, etc can easily be fixed by finding a good stable CC. 1. don't afk til you know the profiles 2. use little toons (dwarfs, goblins, etc) 3. choose different cc
Yeah, Billybob kind of said it. Quest profiles can not be afk'd, but I have lvled a lot of toons and I also know where they need help and when I can go out. But, leaving a bot for 8hours questing is never gonna work. Never ever. If you are lucky it wont do anything too stupid but it might and yeah being Draenei is your problem with getting stuck. Sometimes combat does bug i.e not initiate. Almost always a quirk of your CC. Almost impossible to make a perfect one so you gotta take the rough with the smooth mate. Peace out.
