I have a friend who used to bot and farm gold. He had his main account and his bot account on the same battle.net (as do I) and one day he got banned on his bot account but his main account wasn't touched. As I stated I have the same set up and I never bot on my main account BUT I am less careful than he is. I mail what I farm from my bot account to a bank alt on my main account (is that bad?). So my question is, from the collective experience of the forum users. Does Blizzard ban multiple accounts across a single battle.net account? If so under what circumstances? Also if what I'm doing is dangerous what is a better way to "launder" my farmed goods? Thanks guys! Looking forward to hearing your experience. PS: I know there is ALWAYS a chance you will get banned under any circumstances but I'm looking for real experiences here.
Re: I'd like to settle this once and for all. Question about bans within 1 battle.net As long as you don't bot or sell gold on your main account, you SHOULD be safe but you should still be as careful as possible. Mailing within the same bnet account works as if you were mailing between characters on the same account, and it doesn't seem to trigger anything (in my own experience).
if you have 2 accounts and u only bot on 1 then they should only ban that ONE account cuz the other account, u didnt violate anything. Plus that other account could be for maybe a younger brother or sister? or familly member but put under your name! know what i mean? they wont ban all accounts under the same name unless they all are violating the terms of use
Well from experience I also have both accounts on 1 battle.net account as I was told it don't matter what account is banned for any reason both accounts get banned sense u are the sole person responsible for them both I had both mine perma banned 2hours before Mop Release was fuckedup but I kept writeing to Blizzard an after 24h of this I ended up getting both my accounts back But now I have asked to get my accounts unlinked but bliz will not do it unless u give a good reason to do so an u need to fill out a form for it an wait Edit:But it all depends on the person investigating your Account I guess
Hmm perhaps it was a mistake to put my botting account on the same battle.net. That was my logic. I could always play dumb but I've been thinking lately with hundreds of stacks of ores and herbs being mailed to my bank alt it would probably be really suspicious. I guess I could always just launder it througha guild bank. Thing is my main account is very important to me and I don't want to risk losing it which is why I'm paying for 2 wow subs just so I can bot. (To keep my main account divorced of the entire thing)
