      Hello everyone!
I've not been using a bot since tbc, and today i'm playing on an accout with no warnings or temporary bans on it yet.
I'm thinking of using this bot to get the MoP archaeology achievements because they are just silly, my question here is can blizzard find out that i have been using a bot if someone would report me?
I would only be doing this while i'm home and studying with my laptop on the same desk so i will be able to respond in chat and things like that, so the risk of getting reported would be minimum. Also if blizzard can track that i have used a bot (i have no idea what rights they got these days, but as i understand they can't read my local activity and shit anymore?) would this ban be a temporary 72 hours ban?
      Thankful for answers! :)

-You'd likely get a 72 hour ban, being it is your first offense.
-blizzard can only look at your logs for botlike behavior, archeologybuddy is safer because it goes all over the damn map, so harder to tell if its a bot
(Meaning, you're not running the same exact path over and over looking for herbs etc)
-If your bot did get stuck on something, for say, 8 hours, and they looked at it (which wouldnt be a problem since you're monitoring) it would look like bot behavior.

The third bullet is the only way i see a ban coming via a report, and reports don't come that often when you do it right.

Thanks for the very fast response!
Well the risk of getting reported when i'm by the computer to respond in chat is pretty close to zero i guess, but even if someone is just reporting everyone they see doing archaeology (the profession itself make players look like botters) blizzard would still need proof of botting to ban right?

When a police-man thinks your breaking rules, you're getting arrested.
Later on will be proven wether you're guilty or not

They'll suspend and investigate. if the odds turn out bad, you'll get a permanent ban.
      Don't bot professions/farm/grind over-nights or afk longer then 10min

Bot like a human, always do some little interaction if you're monitoring the bot. Always talk a little on the GChat or do some say like BE CAREFUL I SAW SOME ALLIES/HORDE AROUND HERE. Act natural, just that.

you won't get banned banned for archeology, period.

just note that currently MoP archeo requires nearly constant human help, it doesnt solve the fragments for one thing, and many of the dig sites are bugged
