Hey guys. I'm on 64-bit Windows 7 and HB refuses to even run. It crashes before the program has time to open. This is strange because Gatherbuddy works just fine...

This is the error I get everytime..

Nope.. Do you think that's what is causing the error?

This may sound dumb but.. I can't even find the cache folder. I installed the game via the Blizzard website but I still should have a cache right?

Cache should be in this folder: C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft (If you installed it with defaults)
If it's not then I'm at a loss.

Edit: Yes, you are looking in the wrong folder. The above folder is the correct one. After navigating to that folder, delete the folder named "Cache".

And you might want to make sure that you use photo shop or something to take black out the name of your toon. Just to be safe

This isn't an issue of the WoW cache. HB simply does not have the access rights to open a file.

I suggest not putting HB in a 'protected' folder.

C:\Users\Public\ is an unprotected folder, where applications are allowed to read/write to disk freely. Put your HB installation there. (Or just run HB as admin.)

      its fixed now
its not a protected folder issue in this case
the Hb files were spread on desktop and not inside a folder

I don't have the logs, just erased the files in the honorbuddy directory, re extracted them... Works fine now.
