Specifically, is it safe to gather ore and grind on npcs? There are so many suspensions/bans as of the latest patch that I'm not sure what to think anymore. In your opinion/experience, what do you think?
Here @ GB / HB are no bans for botting last ~10 patches, as far i can see So happy grind or gathering :-D
There's no yes/no answer to this question. The best answer in my opinion is-It's never safe to bot. I've botted two characters from 1-80, one from 30-80, and several others from 1-60. I use GB on my 80's that I don't care much about. I haven't recieved any suspensions/bans yet. Others bot for a few days and get banned. HB/GB isn't detected itself, but there's always a chance of getting a ban. If you can't stand to lose your main account, bot a character up on a new account using HB, or buy a mid lvl 70's character with wotlk already activated for cheap and just bot the rest of the way to 80.
you answered your own question in the first post. people get banned..its never safe to bot. you yourself see/hear of people getting banned..of course it isnt safe. it never will be. you do it at your own risk.
